Bomb explosions not registering at a distance.

If I'm about 1km from a town, and a flight of bombers flies overhead and I see all their bombs released, I will not see the explosions of a single bomb.

I'm not sure if it only happens in relatively mid-high pop areas, but it might.

I have been in a Havoc or H2C and dropped bombs where the bombs do not detonate at all. Its as if they fell through the ground into lala land.
