Playnet downloader constantly failing

out of 18 attempts so far, the playnet downloader has only successfully worked 2 times (im at 1.31.2.2 now). sometimes it crashes when its done downloading a patch, sometimes it just doesnt do anything at all, and one time it wouldnt let me go beyond the login page (unsurprisingly, it crashed as soon as it started up).

windows XP

im trying to get the beta patch (1.31.2.3?).

Is anyone else having problems with this?

It wouldn't run the last 2 patches it downloaded for me earlier. Downloaded fine but didnt execute the patch file. I ran them both manually from the folder they get stored in with no issues, but playgate is definitely playing up.

Yes, I was trying to get in and test out the 109F2 but the samething was going on....

what else is there to describe? select beta server, it downloads the patch (sometimes), then nothing happens (sometimes), task manager would say it stopped responding, etc. Try a few more times, restart computer, repeat. come back 12 hours later and do the same thing again a few more times, make post.

The one yesterday?

On the first launch it said 'Patch found! Downloading!' or something to that effect. I waited 10 or so minutes (thinking you'd come back so i could show you) then tried to close playgate, at this point it went to 'Not Responding' and had to be closed from the task manager. Same exact thing next 2 tries.

4th try it downloaded but didnt do anything once it reached the end.

5th try it recognized the patch was already downloaded and simply executed it from there.

start to for a sec and then download fails----404 or kicks me to the accoout pages....... and yes atleast 50 times trying

Weird. Works for me first time everytime. And I built your rig Timmy so I don't think there are any conflict with weird ports or firewalls or whatnots.

Is it Win7 issue?

downloader is not working for me either task manager says not responding what happened to the ftp site link it has been easier to go there then use the POS playgate downloader.

Nope, not Windows 7 only, I use Windows Vista 32 bit and my auto updater also fails.

"Connecting to patch server" and then after a while Playgate freezes.

It finally connected and loaded. But after the update the settings page failed to load just came up with the microsoft error page and I tried opening it with the settings tab but it just keeps failing to open comming up with the microsoft error page.

I have been having the Exact same problems on both the Live and beta servers. Sometimes you have to connect a few times for the patch to start downloading... then sometimes it does not trigger the patch installer after it is downloaded. If you connect and restart a few more times it will go through the whole patch found and sometimes it will then auto trigger the installer.

It is very random, it seems to have about a 20% SUCCESS rate of working properly. I also run Win7 64Bit.

Lol, last week when trying to install several patches on the Beta server I had to restart the patcher about 30 times to get the multiple patches
