Need Feedback - Reserve unit... Not there when time to spawn

How come I reserve a unit, but by the time I'm spawned in, the unit is gone? If the unit is RESERVED, how can it be gone? Something is broke here and is very frustrating. If I get it in the spawn list, and it says reserved, and I'm waiting to spawn in.... it should be there when I spawn.

What's up with this? Anyone else getting this?

I need some more information on this. I've seen reports. Can you describe, step by step, what you are doing when you get this?

Yes,

Basically, go to a mission at a cp that is mostly depleted of supply. Say there is one SMG left. You select the SMG and you get the unit reserved screen and are waiting to spawn into the world (usually SD) - (Note, it happens w/o spawn delay just less often as there is little time for someone to get your unit) Then when you click to enter the world, it just sits there. (I think it sometimes says unit is not available, but I'll have to watch closer) Now, sometimes, if you keep clicking the enter world (after it comes back highlighted) you will get the unit. Not sure why, maybe one returned, maybe one came from supply or maybe you got the original one, don't know.

It feels like when you reserve a unit, it's not really gone from the cp, others can still see it and select it. Basically, say 10 people spawn into that mission, all could select the SMG (IF they did not enter the world) Then, the first 5 that enter the world would get it, and the next 5 would not. (note, it just feels this way, not sure that is what is happening)

I think that this happens when there are a conflict with selected unit, I guess is just a selection from two players at the same time.

My method to keep reserve (not safe): Click on request multicrew, don't wait and try again.

The same thing can happen sometimes when you RTB (undamaged) to a facility that is otherwise empty of your unit type. You click enter world and nothing happens. After a few seconds the enter world button enables again, but doesn't work until you cancel reservation and lose your unit. I've seen this a few times.

Click enter world and nothing happens you just sit there are a UI screen with grayed out enterworld button. 10-30 secs later the Enterworld button lights up again and to click it. This time is spawns you in like it should.

some times if gives you error unit not available but thats usually do to a mission timing out or BDE got moved on yeah.

WTF...i was the first one to reserve 1 of 2 Shermans and when time came to spwn!!!....alllll was gone...!!!! I ffing hate it, this is the so many time it happend, also before 1.31. Do something about it ffs, what is the ping host/server 1mln seconds??

I can confirm this 'feature' aswell. It happens all the time when supplies are low. Even if you RTB and instantly hit 'enter world', the button greys out, andn after 3 secs, enter world is green again. When you cancel reservation, it says, no more units left...

I've had this one ATLEAST 20 times, so it's broken for sure...

This has been my experience too. Happens with other units too.

It's similar to the "I killed that guy, now he killed me a few seconds later" problem, but replace killing with a reservation for a unit.

A little bit different, but it made me exit the game straight away:

I RTB'd a French armor unit in a different town for new ammo. I got the message '... is Reserved at ...' and when i tried to spawan right back in, not having pushed any other buttons but 'Enter world', the unit was given away....Wtf. 108 minutes to waist.

Some additional observations -

Had repeated "enter world" failures (after every mission) while flying a havoc the other night. The bomber brigade supply list was completely empty of fighters with ample supply of havocs and blen4s left in the list. After every RTB, hitting enter world failed.

If you look at the mission player list after a greyed enter world, you show no unit type.

And as others have noted, it most often occurs when taking the final unit in a spawnlist.

There might be some merit to the thought of multiple clients conflicting for the reservation.

Still its strange, that when u return a unit to a other towns armybase,

the unit is given to someone else. This hasent got to do with connection issues, its a fault in the code. I despwn, automatically reserves and still someone else gets the unit. Sitting around and waiting for ammo is a better choise i guess.
