Was on a mission yesterday and had an ATG, ET was less than 100m, rounds were going through the ET, as witnessed by me and other squaddies,,

Question: Is there such a thing as to close to target ET's with any atg?,, Have seen this with laffy's, opels. and beddy's also, but at the time thought maybe it was my system so despawned,, But,, when respawned targets were of course not around..

It was talked about with squad members and bofors dont seem to have the problem, but some say they have had the same problem with atgs but never thought about it much just frustrated them.

If its not a problem with our side (computers) and thats just the way it is, then fine I guess we will live with it. I have latest computer, video drilvers, high speed broadband cable internet connection,,

This has been a problem since 1.31 was released, it's been mentioned in other threads, it's not just you, I had a 232 park right near my atg previous campaign, I fired at least 6 shots into it, he turns and shoots me, I despawn and dont even get registered with a hit.

I've noticed, what appears to be, ATG and tank rounds going right through tanks since 1.31 was released....Maybe the visual cues are off? or they just go right through them.

I've also noticed sniper rifle rounds (probably rifle rounds too but its harder to see long range) go right through infantry. An ei will be lying on the ground and I'll line up my shot perfectly, fire, and there will be a poof of dust right on the ground behind him but no blood splatter or hit indication. Its taken me several shots all in the same area to score a hit

The title of this thread is using the incorrect version of "to," btw.

You want "too." As in, "Golly it is too hot!"

You would use "to" when saying, "I think I'll go to the store."

iirc from past discusions with rats

a round can pass thru a vehical ,and not hit a componate or a crew member.

just imagine an invisible hole strait thru.

not saying this is definatly whats happening but it happens more often with light vehicals like pans and 232s

One reason why you should never use AP against a 232 unless you want to take out his engine... The AP rounds just go right through it, you have to hit a critical component or you get no results. It's always been this way for the 232 that I know of.

Wow,, would you like to be in a pan, when a 88 AP round goes through it?.. you would die anyway from heart attack and pants full of poooo...Iam a little sceptical here on that notion.. Rounds pass through on purpose?... no dont by that one .. although if thats the case then I guess we have to live with it ..

The same problem is also with Axis Bofors guns. Shooting head on EA and rounds go thru them. At first I thought it was me not aiming right. But after careful observation the rounds get to the EA and disappear followed by the tracer smoke behind the EA continues to go on.

I find that hard to believe that even if the round went right through the vehicle it wouldnt do any damage.

What your describing to me sounds like shooting a tin can with a .22 rifle. The rounds generally go straight through.

Depends on the vehicle. Some of them are mostly empty space.
