loadout troubles

i've had this happen sporadicly since 131

i'm out wandering the country side and suddenly i can't change or work any of my equipment.

my hud will say i'm holding my rifle but i can't lift it or shoot it ,,my keyboard will not allow me to change weapons ,no knife , binos etc.

my mouse wheel lets me change the weapons in hud ,makes sound as i change thru nades , knife etc.

but i cannot use or see what i'm holding.soon as i move , the game defaults me to primary weapon (as shown in hud)but its still unusable.

i'm working on replicating it on demand but so far have had no luck ,the only common demominator so far is i always seem to be in an enemy town when it happens.

but i think that part is just bad luck

It's hard to reproduce as it seems quite random. I think some people are able to clear it by hitting ESC then canceling the dialog.

Do you use "L" to lower your weapon at any point? If that's the case I posted how to reproduce the bug that causes the lock up in this thread ( at the end of the thread . .not related to the prone / stance lockup that was the OP) :

this is what I have seen before, too

used L to lower the weapons, change to binocular, walk into the bushes, then out of nowhere my weapon is not drawn anymore

we had this weapon disappear bug before, not it comes back

I reported this in game once and BLOO asked me about it, it goes like this......

use the L key to lower weapon.....use binos...then try to use the ..1.. key to bring back up rifle ...no go.

Use L key to bring up rifle ...no go...switch to knife then use... L... key to bring up...seems to work for me using this method.

Also, trying to run, after weapon down and bino were used, is limited, it seems very slow.

Try this and see if it is the same for you guys.

I agree on how to reproduce bug ... Lower Weapon, use binos, reselect weapon ... frightened the life out of me when it first happened.

To fix it I select my gun and fired once (not ideal, I know) ... Was all OK again afterward though
