I think it's probably worse the higher resolution you are running. When I use 2560x1600 it's frustrating, at 1920x1200 it's still noticeable but not so bad.

Do others still see this problem? I don't use the sniper much, but gave it a whirl today. I didn't find it any better than rifle because at anything over a couple hundred yards, it behaved like "snap to grid" in layout programs. I ended up right-clicking, getting it close, then letting the right-click go and re-right-clicking...some of the time, it would be the correct pixel jumping around.

Yep its still there and no idea why it exists!

I can shot at pixel and never seen this <- Graphire 2, 1920x1200 monitor resolution.

Your mouse resolution is less then monitor resolution, isn't it.

1. Try tune acceleration.

2. Then to set WWIIOL affinity to core 1 (2,3) and leave alone core 0, it help with Thrustmaster non-direct input buttons ... many drivers or control and programing tools are sensitive on overload (acceleration is computed by CPU, not device HW) of core 0 when he is runing with affinity 0,1

3. Use another mouse or driver version.

It may be caused by driver too, i have similar experience with thumb OEM CH joystick, moving to right is smooth, moving to left not as well.

Don't think so.

I run 3840 x 1024 using a standard POS Logitech mouse and see no issues using high zoom sniper.

Must be something else.

i would not suggest f'ing with core affinity other than as a test.

What mouse you running OP?

How the dog crap do you run in 3840x1024? Is screen resolution limited to your monitor, because I'm only able to go to 1980x1024.

Sounds like 3 monitors at 1280x1024.

This sort of thing isn't tied to screen resolution though, it's just more noticable with higher resolution since unsmooth camera rotation will cause greater changes on screen then. In reality it hasn't jumped any further than if you ran at lower resolution though. It's also exaggerated with the sniper scope since the field of view is narrower.

The problem should be either mouse resolution/refresh rate, drivers and/or whatever input and camera manipulation library they use. Looks to me like it updates the camera only at a certain threshold of angular change.

no focus on this i guess?

missed alot of kills today when trying to get a ei 300m away.. aiming on left side of him..

move 1 step towards him and now you are aiming on the other side of him..do that for 5+ seconds and then the ei run away..

*sigh*

this bug(?) has been in the game as long as i can remember. I get the same sloppy aiming allways despite the mouse, resolution or os.

And i honestly doubt it has anything to do with mouse since i can play quake, enemy territory etc without any skipping etc. And as for the deathadder hinfoos is using, that should be on of the best gaming mouse out there.

Gophur runs a triplehead2go setup.

And yea my mouse seems way too sensitive when usin a sniper too.
