Spawn in with no ammo?

Today I spawned in and rushed to clear a CP, imagine my surprise when nothing fired! Course, I died. Looked at my ammo and it said 0. This doesn't happen to often, but it has occurred to me before. BUT, never when I was rushing a CP and causing my death.

So, anyone else get this?

Is this going to be fixed?

Could be a real problem if I was the last SMG at that depot.... (not to mention simply a waste of supply)

This is a long standing bug with infantry that has been around for as long as I've been playing (2005). I think it's unlikely to ever get fixed unless as a consequence of other changes. It is so infrequent (maybe once in every thousand sorties) that it would be impossible to reproduce.

one of the least annoying bugs. As Sir says very infrequent.

In the past I have defended a cp for 30mins with an unloaded smg, and another set up an ambush on a incomming opel and atg to only here a click as the trigger is pulled.

Ok, I'm a coder, it can't be that hard to reset the ammo variable right before spawning in, or add a check to see, is ammo > 0. Like, checking the ammo level is going to make you wait that much longer to spawn in.... heck, could do the check during spawn delay!

This is an annoying and dumb bug, one that should be easily fixed with a check, no explanations, just solutions. imo.

And, I really don't like to hear that bugs have been around for 5 years, that is very sloppy and unprofessional. Anything been around that long needs to be fixed.

Had this happen in a Pak40. Push that thing about 500m seen 3 ets coming up to me... Go to shoot... Nothing... had a squady run a opel out to me.. Nothing wouldnt get supply.

Spawned today as infantry from Fontoy CP... and my rifle had no rounds. Wierd, first time ever.
