1.31.4.255 Learn How To Do A Trick Truck

Start from allied Navy Metz.

Explode the South FB.

Explode the North FB (between enemy towns).

Make mission from Metz, and target Metzervisse (empty enemy town), but drive to allied FB (stop and deploy 1.2k west of allied FB)

Your intention is to drive to allied FB between two enemy towns which gets you near Thionville from unexpected direction with MSP supply from your town, supply continues through empty enemy town (Metzervisse), through your allied FB, and into your truck for spawning.

Proceed to cap flag, and snipe four high ranking players (names withheld) from east side of river in Thionville (two with sapper rifle, despawn, two with sniper rifle - then despawn again and make them search for you)

I did this last night. Who says all allied high commanders need to be taught that navy towns on borders of the map are useless?

MSP rules glitch?

Is Metz linked (FB?) to Metzervisse?

If it IS, then this is not a bug ... I don't think ... because by defending the Allied FB, you are - in effect - attacking Metzervisse.

If it is NOT ... then it is (a bug) ... I think

(Nice find ... either way :))

Metz (allied) is linked to Metzervisse (axis), which in turn is linked in another direction towards Thionville (axis) at another FB (allied), and therefore as illustrated, the allied supply is flowing through an axis owned town. Just look at the picture.

The allied FB between two axis towns is necessary for the time being, because if the axis wants to reopen their axis FB to defend the axis empty town, they need to blow the allied FB in order to reopen their own FB.

This seems logical game-mechanics wise, but the supply flow disregards all previous rules.

When CRS designs the option to allow high rank players to place FB's as player placed objects (related to recent announcement) - then FB's will need to have different rules.

Ifd there is a link, then I think this is OK (odd, but OK)

My understanding of the FB system is that they are just like another facility in the town. So, as long as Metz and Metzervisse are linked, then you should be able to attack (and MSP to) a Metzervisse facility from Metz.

The fact that the FB is between Thorn and Metz is not an issue (as I understand it), just that the FB is part of Metzervisse. Also, the fact that the FB is curently Allied is not an issue (still a Metzervisse FB).

Also - as I understand it (and hey, I'm wrong so often) - supply doesn't flow through Metzervisse ... The MSP is just supplied from Metz, there is a magic link between an FB and a truck (an MSP is just an extension of the FB, as far as supply is concerned ... I do not believe there is a supply system between the two?)
