Land your plane to be rearmed on an AF then take off again... the game still acts as though my gear is down as far as drag goes. Gear is up, flaps are up, and i get massive drag that causes the cockpit to shake and drops speed like my gear is still down.

Please fix this .

No I hadnt been hit, yes it was a soft perfect landing, no my flaps are not down, yes my cockpit canopy is closed. gear is back up after taking off.

WTF?

I can repeat this in 109 and the 190 over and over.

some times the auto update, you know from 1.31.1 to 1.31.5 we got atm, it will make mistakes, just a hint. (shhh ... i even got banzored once from the game for a corrupt binary)

so long slpr

if true... this build seems rife with bugs related to state consistency issues.

hard to spot during testing I'd bet when things aren't doing what they look like they are...

Here is the deal: if you deploy flaps or gear or open canopy and then exceed the deploy speed (long enough to get the "shake, rattle, and roll" for more than a few seconds but not long enough to jam), then even when you've undeployed the device, the plane will still retain the shake and the drag. Call it a "partial jam" if you will: the plane acts as if something is damaged. This effect is persistant until respawn.

It has been like this for years.

That's how I always understood it.

If you drop flaps when you're coming in to land and your plane shakes real hard, you've done damage.

It will say "flaps jammed" in that case. Did it in yours? That seems to be the likely candidate. Otherwise I land and relift very often and nothing such has happened to me.

You don't have to completely jam the flaps to retain the flutter and the drag. Flaps will still be operable (can still be dropped and retracted), but the plane acts like they are "bent".

no flaps jammed, and perfect landnings, no wing tips touching.

whole cockpit graphic shakes and shudders ike the wheels are still down once airborne again (theyre not).

Only happens when I land and rearm then take off again

what airspeed do you drop your flaps at on approach?

This exact issue occured for me in 110s when rearm frist came in - then it dissappeared with the next patch...

something got re-broke methinks.

i had this happen to me a few times but i thought that maybe i hit something so i didnt bother to investigate. more often than not though, i can take off and fly normally. i never read any chat about it so i thought it was just me.

This happens to me too , only axis planes though. 109 series most notable .

This ^ happens to me even when no flaps are deployed on landing or take off .

Plane will fly alot slower , lift is borked ect .....

Safe bet:

When coming down for a rearm landing, never use over 49% flaps.

Sometimes it might "buffet" from overspeed ever so sligthly that you don't feel or realize it.

Over 50% there can be damage is done to the "airfoil" - even if your flaps work (like people said above, the ydon't need to get jammed) they still affect your maximum speed.

Even safer: respawn every time. 100% streamlined "out of the box" aircraft.
