When is the "stutter bug" going to be addressed?

I love playing this game but have one major problem. When ever I go into a big city (such as Brussels last night) I encounter what I call the "stutter bug". Basically your FPS goes from whatever you normally used to playing with down to 2-3 FPS. This seems to happen most when the AI AAA guns start firing. This bug happens to everyone within and even outside the city. It is virtually impossible to do anything as the game becomes a slide show. This bug has been around for a while now and I was wondering if/when it will be fixed. PLS spend some time to look at this as IMO it is the single most frustrating thing in the game.

system requirements went up with v1.31, are you still in the middle or top of the bunch or are you now low end ?

minimum system requirements, while able to *run* the game are not guarrenteed to run it under the heaviest load conditions, like battles in big cities (which are render hogs)

it's just the law of the jungle, minimum system requirements are always advertised as those which will run the game but usually not run it well or under adverse rendering loads and absolutely require you to have the highest performance/lowest quality settings selected

DOC, there did seams to be something very odd in Essen the last map.

We are used to what effect the big cities have on our FPS, so we know what to expect, but something else was going on in Essen. You could spawn in, FPS would be normal for a few mins, then although your FPS counter never dropped, you'd get stutters every few seconds.

Respawning would fix it for a min or two then it would start again. Everyone there appeared to be getting the same issue.

No idea why it only appeared to happen in Essen but it certainly was odd.

We can't really go on "last map" as things don't change client side based on campaigns. You'd have to narrow it down to between v1.31.1.255 (release) and v1.31.3.255 (release) or something alomg those lines, where the two version numbers represent the one where it wasn't happening and the one where it first appeared.

Otherwise, we're just guessing. Pretty hard to get effective debugging with extremely limited manpower if we have to start chasing guesses. This is why some things appear to be ignored when in fact thay can't be effectively pursued under these circumstances is the real reason.

Sucks I know, and it doesn't suck any less from where we sit.

There is something wrong, no doubt, no question.

I have the latest and greatest iMac and I get a 'stutter' bug. If my system can't run this game ok, then no system can run this game ok. (unless the mac code is that much different from the pc code)

The bug comes in two flavors for me. First, my FPS goes something like 34, 34, 34, 7, 34, 34, 34, 7, ... Second, my avatar actually moves, moves, stops, moves moves, stops. These both don't happen at the same time necessarily, sometimes one, or the other; though, I think they can happen at the same time. The bug only happens in large towns for me (Brux, Essen)

It is excruciatingly annoying and I almost always leave the town that it is happening in.

There was another thread about this too

http://forums.battlegroundeurope.com/showthread.php?t=336936

Here's my post from that thread

Frankfurt has the stutter issue too, I drove a truck from Bad S and was stutter free until pretty much exactly 10k from Frankfurt, at that distance the Frankfurt town was not even being rendered so it's not a render issue, my instinct is that it's something to do with the AAA

I've had the stutter bug 7-8km above brussels, or how ever far away Turnhout layout begins to render at 4-5km

It's completely random but it effects everyone in the area :s

I've been in towns where many people start talking about really bad "lag" and I don't know what they are talking about when they say it because I don't experience it.. And my setup is Minimum Spec..

From my experiences, the stutters occur when a depot is being captured in a "big city" like Brussels or Essen. It basically makes the game unplayable; doesn't have to do with minimum requirements, it just comes and goes...

I can generally say that big city battles are not an option for me anymore, dunno about other people, but these stutters honestly make the game unplayable.

I don't know that this is correct, but it would explain how this event can occur, and then cease, and then occur again within the same mission. If it is a depot being capped causing framerate drops, that must be one doosy of a bug. :)

This is a rerun of the old stutterbug we had years ago, it affected everyone. Hardware had no impact whatsoever. Though, it seems to be localized to somewhere around Brux since that's the only place I've experienced it.

There is a rumor that this only happens to Allied players? Do Axis players experience this bug too? I had it in Brussels yesterday (as Allied).

I had a bit of it yesterday, as Axis, in Brussels. My machine normally doesn't have much trouble with the game, in general, but this was definitely "something else."

Do you all have Capture Messages (the big one's that flash on your screen, not those in chat), turn on or off?

Back in 1.30 (point something) a very similar sounding issue occurred with the Capture Messages ... Turning them off (mine are still turned off) got rid of the stutter.

I have them turned off, always, and I got stutters
