Open future open beta to non subscribers?

Seems like the only way to proper bug test is to get a lot of people and stress the servers. Allowing anyone(non-subscribers) to join in the beta might help that. Just don't allow forum privileges.

CRS' date=' any thoughts on the proposal?[/quote']

Dont understand, why they would need to come in and test, then not be able to report the bugs they have found.

Not to mention, its prob not a good idea, for prospective customers to play in a very buggy environment, (we regulars are almost used to that enviroment, even in the live server ;))

They would be there to load the server. Regular subscribers would report the bugs. Allowing anyone to post would get out of control quickly. If you make it pretty damn clear that it is a BETA then people will accept bugs. Not all demos are bug free either.

This wouldn't work, people who benefit the most (subscribers), barely bother to test, why would non-subscribers. Plus their feedback would be spotty at best.
