Problems setting a FRU for a DO

I started a mission from Paal while Leo was under attack. Origin Paal AB, target Leo. Drove a Laffy to Leo. Tried to set up FRU, everytime closer, everytime getting the ?ppo.error.toofar?

Ended at some 400mt, got error again. Didn't move, Leo fell. DO dropped. tried to set up FRU, it worked.

Could respawn as rifleman and move FRU around a few times.

Why it didn't work while there was AO?

Had the same issue. DO or AO it didn't matter. Something is really not right with the FRU.

I got this too, some strange message about too far or too close, not sure now which it was. Couldn't place new one after one was destroyed as ML. Even brought new truck, still couldn't. Finally made mission and I could place one.

Does it matter where target is to? i.e. town name or specific CP?

I can try and replicate this but need some clarification.

Who owned Paal?

Who owned Leo?

Who had control of Leo?

Was the Target the Leo Town or a specific facility?
