FRU setting weirdness

Toward the end of the GENK defense (Allied) I created a mission at Hasselt (from a brigade not present in Genk). I set the mission's target as Genk (not a specific facility) ... meaning - at that time - a defense mission.

I drove a truck to around 1.5km of Genk ... MSP'd ... respawned as rifle, then walked on foot.

Around 800m N of Genk I tried to deploy an FRU - I got the message "?badlocation?" as far as I can tell, there was nothing wrong with the spot, no awkward terrain, no nearby trees. I could move anywhere more than 100m from the spot and it would allow me to deploy (nearer, or further from Genk).

Eventually I deployed - in a less than ideal spot - and went in to Genk on foot.

After about an hour the final S Depot was captured and the Defensive AO disappeared. Allied did not re-AO Genk.

My FRU stayed in place. (I did a .report at this point)

I think something is definately buggy with FRU placement/rules?

Someone else reported almost exactly the same thing on chat ... but in Leopoldsburg ... an hour or two later. In that instance, again a defensive mission, the player - blupete - was not able to deploy a FRU ... until the town had been captured, and the AO removed ... when he could setup the FRU (still on exactly the same Leo defense mission).

(If I had seen his post, I would have posted in it!) ;)

I have been getting bad location, too far out, too close.

Seems like the FRU is one big bug. The msp worked a whole lot better than this and at least with the range warnings you at least knew you were in the right spot. At the moment it varies from mission to mission and each different circumstance.

Please fix.
