a sapper got my engine all other was fine..he died.. later some guys where talking about RES and MIA range so i was just gonna check what it was at my spot *hits esc* and BOOM dead.............

and oh.. got sapped because the reverse didnt move :(

happened several times when trying to reverse.. gear 1 with tiger and nothing happends, the gas was floored but still nothing happends, tried to chenge between forward and reverse several times and still reverse didnt work. after 5sec or so i just put in the forward instead and began to roll but he stil got a satchel off and got the engine..

When you despawn with critical damage, part of that "despawn from the world" process blows your tank up because we didn't like your tank just going "poof" and vanishing from the game world. The battlefield looks better if things blow up and sit in smoking ruin than "just dissappear" like they used to.

Since it only happens when you have critical damage, the kill against you has already been awarded, so it's just an aesthetic thing really.

I have to say he has a point there. What's the point of a cancel button in the despawn dialog if you've already blown up?

Agreed. It's the only way to test despawn status. BUT it was done because the depawn timer starts when you hit esc and we need you in the world during the countdown in order to show everyone else your explosion...

Or do we.

Another option might be to have the depawn timer start when you hit OK.

I'll ticket this. This needs improvement.
