1.32 Concussion Bug Reports

First time for me since 1.32 hit the street.

October 19

Set up mission.

Spawned PAK 38 at Roosendal CP in Kalmouth.

Rolled 1 k west of town to bush line.

There perhaps 20 min and the bug came for a few min, went away, returned went away, etc.

I despawned and left game about 1930 US Central time.

Running quad core pentium with 8 gb ram with Windows 7.

Audio card is Creative Technologies Soundbalster XF-I Titanium.

Curently I have it set to "hardware" mode in the game.

Set to headset on the card.

{Iwas software mode until last Sunday but I could only hear things withing 500m. With headware mode I get audio but directional accuity stinks.}

Perhaps Hardware mode contibutes?

This is a great report. I need more of these.

When you get the concussion bug do you see an automated report being sent out?

IF YOU HAVE THE BUG TYPE /CONCUSSIONBUG AND LET ME KNOW IF IT SENDS OFF A REPORT OR SAYS UNRECOGNIZED.

being getting the concussion bug a lot again recently, no autorepoprt is generated when it happens, i have seen the autoreport rarely this campaign so far, and i do not see the concussion bug when it happens.

Had the concussion bug twice in one mission. Both times it came and went away after about a minute. Tried to report using /concussionbug but got "unrecognized command".

I was hoping this bug was fixed, but had it tonight and it never stopped (used to be able to move a bit, deploy undeploy and it would go away). I was Allied Hotckiss/cmle on Boulion attack at 7:57 PST, spawned at Sedan FB.

I haven't had this ever happen ths long, but haven't seen the bug for a few weeks until now.

Had another bout same area about an hour later same equipment same result. I did log off in between. Once I was 1km se of town once 1km sw of town.

Honestly, I truly feel like unsubbing. This game has never been about fancy stuff, just playability. And when I can't play, the fancy stuff doesn't matter. Fix the basics!!!

This is the single hardest bug to fix I've seen yet. If it would only happen to me I could fix it easy, but it's a purely random occurrence. I *think* it has to do with certain types of explosions at a fairly long range causing a concussion effect despite the distance. Generally either AAA or mortar explosions seem to be common. It doesn't matter what you are, but it's the explosion that matters. If you report this error, report the pattern of concusses. Killer once got it clearly in a flak30 fire a bunch then reload pattern. Bofors would cause a bunch of them, a random pause then another bunch.

What did you guys do to fix the fire bug? Seems to be similar in the way that bug happened...continous sound and effects

I have also noticed something different about the bug since 1.32,

As i mostly get the bug around lots of explosions such as AAA, it now seems that when AAA is firing it seems to sound faster as in it sounds like the guns shooting fire up to 5 times faster ( abit like a humming sound).

For the record: You don't need to have sound enabled in BE to get the concussion bug. I've had the concussion bug on my 2nd computer where I run BE under Ubuntu with Wine and no sound.

concussion bug as infantry three times now, appears to coincide with collision detection near walls. Looks like bombs being dropped on me in very quick succession, includes heartbeat sound.

Concussion bug. Mostly when something blows up, grenade, bomb ect or when armour/AI shoots stuff close to me. Really annoying :(

This is not bug, you are speaking about feature. It's HE effects.

Conclusion bug is shaking, red view and heartbeat without any reason.
