Char gun bug!

Few days ago in conversation with Dark6161 he told me that he thinks main 47 mm gun on Char dont have hitbox and it should be checked. Last night i went to training server and tested it, his observation proved correct, Char 47mm gun is only picture in air without any hitboxes. I cant believe that after 10 years of toothpick gun on char we still dont have proper gun on new model! CRS pls fix it and pls dont wait another 10 yers for Char update.

Wrong forum.

Also, try to include video so it makes it absolutely clear what your mean. Trust me, helps with bug fixes.

yeah i've pointed that out when I had a golden opportunity with a 3f on a char turret gun....thingie is the char gun is completely missing the collider

tried later with a 232 just to see if I get any interaction between the fired shots and the gun...result was that the shots went through behind the 'gun visual image'

in the new model with the properly rendered turret gun (not the old toothpick one)

try that when you spawn next to one at a fb/ab

There are more ways to get degunned than just hitting the barrel. If a round penetrates and breaks the muzzle break for instance. Or anything inside.

If it has a damage model, clearly you were doing something wrong.

Perhaps it's time to discuss the 88 damage model instead.

No.

First, a satchel charge would be completely inappropriate to test with given the nature of the shaped charge it uses and the way it attaches. You probably already knew that though since you prefer statements to questions in your post.

The damage model is one of the older ones and probably does';t have the best shape but the object is there. It also has a threshold that would mean most weapons below probably 20mm will depart any joules to it.

You want to give me something to work with I'll be happy to test it out. you want to cry that the sky is brown I'm not going to spend much time looking. There are real bugs to fix my man.

Fix this bug my man! and after that ill send you some more to fix. Ill just give you a hint, gun barrel you have marked on your pic is half meter under gun represented as small invisible object.

Look at the first mag hitting the char gun its hitting the gun ... under the gun. (as shown on the 3d model wich clearly shows that the model is not overlapping with skin properly)

Then at like 0:51 after he is done with first mag you see black spots under the turret in the sky... impacts?

Clear bug imo.

It may be a bug but how often to you shoot a tanks gun barrel?

You're right for pointing it out but I think there are more important bugs to be fixing first.

You shoot at tank gun when you cant penetrate his armour, ask Tiger/matty drivers how often they got disabled gun. This is bug old 10 yers now and it should deserve more attention, i was hoping that after audit on Char it would be solved but it seems someone just placed new textures on old model.

I don't think this bug is 10 years old. I think it might be 1.31 old since thats when the new char art came in, and it looks a bit off from the hit boxes. But the char does have the oldest model in game where the m10 is one of the newest. Try some of the other old tanks.

I tested all guns on vehicles and all atgs this way, and several bug where fixed on my reports, m10 , m5, and Char gun bug is here from start, and i posted it few times now.
