DOES CRS HAVE ANY PLAN TO FIX THIS BUG??????

iT APPEARS TO BE GETTING STRONGER AND MORE FREQUENT.

TODAY I HAVE NOW HAD TWO OF THE WORST [CONSTANT SCREEN SHAKE AND NOISE] LONG TERM BUGS SINCE THE BUG APPEARED.

All caps and posting in the wrong forum won't get quicker results, I'm afraid.

We're aware of the bug, we're painfully aware that it is driving a percentage of players up the wall and we're also actively working on trying to resolve it.

I do believe that Ahwulf and Martini are working on the concussing bug, but have yet to isolate the cause. Detailed reports of when it happens to you can be extremely helpful.

Pretty much happens anytime I'm close to AA guns when they are going off, don't know if that is a coincidence or not though since I'm always around an AB.

Is there going be at least a reduction of the effect in an upcoming patch, and if so whats the estimated time on that?

Migraines aren't nice! :)

Not sure, but unlikely to be this week as Thursday and Friday are holidays, and we don't release the day before...that's just asking for trouble.

I'll ask Gophur.

I do believe it is related to AAA explosions (not the guns themselves) getting bad distance calculations that make the client think it is blowing up in your head. THe next version will have the effect off. If I can ever have it happen to me I can confirm where I think the problem is and then fix it. We won't turn it back on until its confirmed fixed.

Was driving tank, long ways today, when all of a sudden out of my left speaker there was a Swooshing noise, then concussion bug hit. Saw someone say think it was audio related and I would agree that it is a sound issue that is causing concussion bug

Nope. The lazer sound and the concussion bug are both results of a math problem, one doesn't cause the other. The lazer sound has been removed from the game in the next version (it never worked anyway) and concussion turned off.

Both are related to distance from your ear being calculated as zero (or something equally wrong) when the actual explosion is km's away.

Are you calculating distance for sounds even if the client have audio turned off? I'm certain that I've had the concussion bug on my ubuntu+wine box running BE with audio completely disabled in BE. I just double checked and it says Sound system: disabled in the BE in-game settings.

Concussion bug has *nothing* to do with audio. Any effect you hear (lazer etc) is the result of the bug. Any effect you will see in the current release is the shaking. Neither effect will appear in the next release.

AAA shell goes boom -> distance to boom is miscalculated as being close -> visual and/or audio effects

The bug is in step two.
