Battleground Europe should have something like this, so we can see what bugs are being worked on, whats been stomped on, feature being worked on, etc etc.

if you click on show completed version on the right side and hit apply.

it'll show the entire bugreport and patch process from the very first version of ArmA2 to the latest.

Because people will *****. It's exactly why a lot of developers keep their bug lists and progression on them either vague (Like CRS does) or locks them up entirely. Plus there aren't enough open beta testers to justify opening the list.

you're right, to well organized and useful.

EDIT: also notice there are 2 sections, one for the beta update, and one for the current version, both have a list of bugs to them, except the beta update one lets you know if a current version bug is now fixed.

Vague? Really? huh. We used to be known as the most customer informed of the bunch. What changed? Not enough prod updates?

the community can add bug reports to that list.

whats usefull about that list is the community can actually see what HAS been reported, so they know if their issue has been reported or not.

like i said more organization.

You assume that the whole BE community is competent enough to identify what's a bug or not and submit well written, non-duplicate bugreport directly into a bug tracker used by the devs? I don't believe for a second it would be worth the time required. It would be a huge pile of work for CRS just to police/moderate the list. Just look at the forums: A lot of people don't search or or can't identify if it's a bug or if they just have graphics drivers from 2005. Just sorting out all the support issues from actual bugs would be a lot of work.

if the list isn't official or guarrenteed to be an officially monitored and managed part of our actual dev process, I don't belive it to be of any real use to the community

maybe it will make some of them feel better, but personally I don't believe in placebo's

PS: this isn't a bug and we police this forum looking for bugs, so while I can grok the suggestion side of the post it's not really helping us get through the bugs which the forums exists to help fix
