Spawn building stairs.

Seems you can sneak your way up the spawn building stairs (the ones that aren't supposed to be climbed) on the outside of the building. I have tried it on a few of them and have been able to climb them.

Finally figured out how ei was killing me upstairs now!

Please give me a location so I can replicate this. We can also make the outer stairs a no fire zone if needed.

It's the outside stairs of spawn buildings. I'll post a couple of example places.

Making it a no fire zone won't work I think because you could still climb to the roof, unless you just made the entire bldg no fire, which I don't think is a good idea off hand, though maybe it would be ok.

i know for sure you can do it on wuust-kalm depot in kalm.. did it today and there are parts on the fire escape that will show you out of building and your able to fire

You can get up them but you cant usually shoot from them. (enemy spawn location no fire zones) so not sure how critical of fix this is.

Since CRS implemented the ridiculous "your gun won't shoot in this building" rule, there is no justification for having stairs that *can't* be climbed anyway.

Make them go to the ground.

What's the problem?! It is impossible to shoot spawning infantry, hell, it's impossible to shoot infantry who have been spawned already for 30 minutes.

The whole point of this horrid rule was to protect a vulnerable spawning infantry who hadn't even entered the game yet.

So now that that has been accomplished (in a most ham-handed and inelegant fashion), there is no point in stairs that don't go all the way down.

And to try to ""fix" this non-problem would be a *serious* waste of what we are always told is extremely scarce programming time.

Don't bother.

romz you['re] my damn hero

Ya know, at first Romsburg, you rubbed me the wrong way and I wasn't a fan. But over the past 12 months, you have really grown on me. You're precise, well spoken and although you are sometimes a little harsh, you are most often correct and in proper context with your responses.

indeed he's one of the few voices of common sense on these forums

If you're going to argue with Romz, do your homework before you post. He gets it, and you can't teach common sense, you have to be born with it.

pete, linc & julie:

I can't say [any]thing else [than] that the ban was justified considering that you have an 'impressive' TOS history....

Yeah don't really care that you can climb them sometimes since you can't camp from there anyway.

I love Romzburg. You're my hero brother man. :D
