If you have an alternate weapon or stance selected, you revert to standing and primary weapon when taking damage. Also occurs upon hitting escape or despawn.

1. Spawn ATR

2. Select pistol

3. Go prone

4. Hit esc

Upon hitting esc you will automatically stand and switch to the ATR rifle.

Also happens in combat when you take any damage.

Twice now, I've had my avatar stand up from prone position when damaged, but not killed. Once I was in a spawn building and once on a berm. I don't know if it's some sort of terrain issue.

I will be in a prone position in a great ambush spot. Someone issues an order and I stand up. BAMMMMMMM Im dead. Same thing when I spawn out, I get shot while despawning. Is this something that has been added as some sort of benefit? Or is it a bug?

Avatar wil come to the standing position everytime the mission leader on mission changes no matter the position I am in at time.

Also happened to me using commands. Prone down behind a rock to call a .allied and suddenly my character arises and gets riped by a LMG.

ive noticed th eopposite, when i am standing and i hit esc i lie down.

the only thing i have noticed with change of mission leader / order. is that if i have a lmg deployed a change of order will un-deploy it, which is a problem if i am firing it. ;)

Still standing when taking damage.

1. Spawn in as inf at a depot

2. Switch to secondary weapon

3. Crouch

4. Walk off roof of spawn and fall to ground

Upon taking damage you will switch to weapon #1 and stand up.

PITA when prone and take a plink from enemy fire in battle.

I was knicked by shell fire on tree and game stands me up so ET can mg me ??

Also stand up to get shot when I receive new orders.

CRS, take a year off, and re-write everything from the ground up. We'll wait.

There is some weird crap going on, and it *must* by from using chewing gum and baling wire to strap together pieces of code that never expected to have to work together.

I can't even begin to imagine how the "stand" state is being invoked by these things.

A couple of you may need to sell your Maseratis for a year's worth of grocery & beer money, and you may need to move in together to save on rent, but if you hunker down and go at it for just one year, I think you can do it.

And you might as well put in high res terrain while you're at it.

Mark, set, go.

Causes of the "stand up" bug I saw tonight when in the prone position:

- Pressing "Cancel" on despawn dialog. (Did not happen when pressing ESC.)

- When new orders were issued during a mission. (Not as mission leader.)

- Explosion nearby.

Also saw a case where my primary weapon changed to another weapon when the stand up bug occured.

EDIT: I forgot that I also had an LMG undeploy when mission leader changed.

Same thing only no weapon change.

Axis side, weapon : lmg

- lying prone

- taking hit

- character goes from prone to stance
