The global.calib file will come back if you even simply view the 'CONTROLLERS' tab then click 'SAVE CHANGES' the keymapper. It saves all joystick sensitivity settings the settings as the were before you deleted the file.

Maybe this is normal. Just thought I would mention it.

If you want to reset you global.calib file, it appears you need to do it using the in game adjustments.

Some other settings file was doing this a couple of point releases ago ... screen res stuff, I think ... for some people.

One work-around was to make the relevant file Read-Only (just remember that you did, if you do, cos it may cause issues)

Martiny can you give me a bit more of a walk through on this for a ticket?

When did you delete the file, before launch? i need a step by step to look at this.

Sure,

I deleted the file while game was loaded.

1. Start up game. Let game fully load.

2. Delete the global.calib file

3. In game, click on the "Controllers" tab

4. Go to the "Keymapper" tab

5. On the Keymapper tab, click "Save Changes"

6. Open the folder containing the global.calib file.

7. Open the global.calib file. It will no have all the settings you previously had before deleting this file.

Dude, dont delete it while the game is open and expect a change. That stuff is still in memory. Do it while the game is closed.

UPDATE:

GOPHUR: Did the latest patch fix this? I no longer have this issue I described.

I can now delete the global.calib without it restoring itself by viewing the Controllers tab, then saving the keymapper (while the game is loaded). (Which is good)

gutted:

You can edit individual planes .calib files while IN game AND spawned in, click save on the keymapper and it updates immediatly, which is great because you can tweak you settings and get near instant feedback. I have used this feature to tweak my rudder throw and sensitivity curves on the bell, etc..
