When you sign into the game you have to go through multiple steps.

  1. AGREE or disagree with TOS. if you AGREE, you get to next page.
  2. Enter your name and PASSWORD, name is retained, PASSWORD is not. Everytme you sign in you have to enter multiple characters for PW.
  3. then hit LOGIN button to get to next page.
  4. now you get to CHOOSE to go to map, training, beta or see news from CRS. Pick one.
  5. then finally, hit the PLAY button

As you can see you have to do multiple steps to get into the game and if you get CTD multiple times, man it takes forever to get into the game then.

At steps: ^^^^^

  1. I suggest that if you AGREE it should save that and not ask again until you change the TOS statement. It should remember. Maybe everytime you have an upgrade you have to reafirm that decision. So if AGREE'd with before, it would bypass this page.
  2. + 3. many maps ago it used to remember you PASSWORD and you didnt have to re-imput it all the time. my thought would be put a check box here to ask if you want your PASSWORD remembered. So if remembered you would bypass this page.

4. + 5. You end up at the finale page, here is the only thing you have to deal with. You can see the news postings by CRS and/or get into the game world.

RECAP, here is all you would have to do to get into the game.

Start game, LOGIN button, PLAY button.

Here is another thought. When you hit PLAY, you see a page that has TM's on it, that of the software systems used by CRS for the game.

Then it switches to a screen with a bar graph on it showing that it is loading.

Why not just add the bar graph to the screen with all the TM's on it. One screen instead of 2.

Just some thoughts to streamline the entrance into the game so the player can get into the game faster.

The pass word part was changed because people were caught doing stuff they shouldn't have been doing and saying that thier cousins sisters brother had played on thier account without thier knowledge. So if you have to re-type your pass word every time then you couldn't make claims like "I had no idea they were doing that on my account". So don't look for that to change.

Well that sucks. It is their account, so if someone using it, it is their responcesibilty.

If someone is going to use that computer and get into the game, the owner of the account should not check the save the PASSWORD box.

It should be up to them to secure their account in a multi-use household.

Most of us do not have that problem and we should not be penilized for it.

If you AGREE to the TOS, then it is your respocesibility.

Are you not paying for the game?

If you don't secure it, it is your fault and you suffer the concequenses.

I am not a DEV so I can not answer your question fully.

Though the reason for removing the "remember password?" check box was for people forgetting their passwords and had to generate support tickets. In a big company with an employee just hired to reset password it is no worries. But with the short of staff CRS have with so limited hours, we simply could not spend the few hours it takes to reset 'everyones' password.

I thought I saw, a long while back when they put it in, that it had to do more with legal issues than anything. Especially if it came to changing the TOS, without acknowledgment, they'd have to send the new one out to everyone every time small adjustments were made. This forces acceptance all the time.

Password reset can be done automatically at the account page, I think. It's really not that bad, only talking seconds. Damn, what's next, a fru widget on your desktop so you can log directly into the battle?

Very simple on the PW issue.

Have a statement where you would click yes to keep your PW.

Like this " I assume full responsibility for anyone using my account by clicking yes to save my password"

Simple enough.

As for the adjustments in the TOS, it should be so we know something has been changed.

I dont think there is anyone who reads it everytime they log in.

So if TOS is changed, we should be notified by something.

Maybe have a box showing it checked if a change has happened.

Jesus guys, how hard is it to type your password once when you start the game?

It helps you remember it as well.

It's not a problem IMO, unless you don't know your password ;)

Its especially annouying when you get the mission results bug and have to get out of the game. Then start game and have to shut it down again cause it is locked and restart it to finally get into the game.

Also CTD and all those bugs. So after awhile, entering the game gets teedious (srry not sure of spelling).

I hear ya, but it is really only annoying due to the crashes and other "mission results pending" bugs and CTHL etc that require you to restart the game. Those are the real problems.

I still think requiring password at login is good :)

All I can think of is you have a very small password.

I get into the game multiple times a day. Not from bugs or some such.

So, when signing in under those conditions....... get tedious.

Then throw any other reason on top of it....
