Whenever I log in and select a server and press play and all that, I get to the loading page with the name and sponsors and after about a second in it closes down and I go back to my desktop. WTF?

Sounds like old graphics drivers or in worst case unsupported graphics card. Post your system specs. here and someone might be able to tell.
