Eternal Flame + tail?

Either this Hawk is burning way too long or it's not getting damaged by the fire, or the fire should not be there in the first place. I've seen ATGs on fire as well.

Also, the second flame trailing the hawk looks weird to say the least.

This was last night on live server.

Time elapsed during fade-to-black was approx 1m40s. Lost vis of it and I can't guarantee that it is the same Hawk that comes back, but the flame and the tail sure makes it look like it.

There's also a separate sequence in an earlier clip I made where I caught a hawk burning for ages as well.

That clip was from Nov 4th on live server.

I believe there is another thread ticketed for this. It can happen on all vehicles (including infantry) and seems to be "attached" to the vehicle somehow. Last map I saw an enemy c47 over a town from the distance. All of a sudden I realized as he dropped his paras it wasn't the c47 that was on fire but actually an enemy para. I wish I had my screenshot button mapped because it was one of the coolest things I have ever seen.

Ah ok. I was guessing there might be one but was too lazy to search :P

Anyway, the trailing flame might be a separate bug, or related, dunno.

Now it's reported at least :)

known issue, related to a state bug we think ... not the damage model of that vehicle

basically, you are wearing someone elses state display, when they are on fire

it's rare, and needs some very specific things to happen, but we're tracking it down

if you think you can work out how to replicate this (we haven't yet) then that would be great ;)
