Gah. no idea.

I don't have a Fermi (460) in house to test but that doesn't seem right.

Do you have an old GPU to test against?

Closest I have is a 260gt but I know from resent testing it'll fly for hours with no issues (till the gas runs out).

Here me out on this one. I'm currently experiencing something similar with my current build where the monitor kicks into energy saving mode - ie: shuts off while I'm flying.

Why does it do this? My theory is that since it's not getting keyboard inputs, it thinks nothing is going on, and so shuts down after a given time. Kinda like landing and comming back to your computer after a break, you have to whack the spacebar or move the mouse to get your screen to come back on. I have to do this in flight every once in a while, because I'm too lazy to set it up properly (at least today).

Well, what happens if your computer, like my old one, goes into sleep mode, but won't "wake up"?

Sometimes, if your bios isn't configured to "wake on" events, or if your win OS isn't set up the same way, it's possible you could run into trouble there.

You could try disabling energy saving in windows and bios, at least until you figure out what the problem is. Then you can make appropriate adjustments.
