1.33.0.9 Ugly Fonts

The fonts in 1.33.0.9 are flat out painful to read, this persists both while spawned in and at the main screens.

I got the Same thing, spoke to some on Beta and theres seem fine.

I remember that the fonts were messed up after 1.31 too weren't they?

I remember seeing the same in Empire: Total War. Fonts were fine in 4:3 format but almost unreadable in widescreen.

I changed the font drawing to use prebuilt textures, in order to save a ton of memory and texture memory. It scales the characters based on the height of the monitor. Currently certain monitor heights cause bad scaling to occur, still work in progress to tune this. Beta ;-)

The diff from 1.32.9 is about 30MB (ram and textures) less in 1.33.

Good to hear you're on it. That give you +1 over THQ, they still haven't fixed it in E:TW almost 2 years after release
