So many headshots NOT enough kills ...these are rifles if I should shoot something LIKE: Tank commander ,boat crew, truck driver, atg(aa)crew and pilot crew THEY SHOULD DIE to rifle shots to the head

They currently MOST times DO NOT

This needs to be fixed and I mean before any new toys ....new rules

This speaks to the very heart of the FPS model that is this games base and it needs to be fixed before anything else

I just paid 18 bucks for last month and this month I expect a certian level of FPS play and this aint it at this current time

I know im just one paycheck to you all but when other people that plunk down their hard earned money just for a head shot not to be a head shot well im sure you will allways have problems with retention of customers expecting a certian level of play from their FPS

WHEN are we fixing this ?

Ever

Please let us know a time table

EDIT : Just watched 5 people shoot at a Beddy (I placed 2 head shots on it) and it just drove off and set up a Fru like we were shooting rubber bands at it

Could you repost in a coherent thought?

I'm guessing your complaint is that the visual model of human within vehicles is not perfect, yes? This has been the case for a long time. The thing is some of the models are rather archaic and there is really no need to update them. Seriously, what woudl you rather they spend time on, making the beddy slightly more perfect, or making a better game? If you just put a few extra rounds in their chest, then they'll die just as well.

Also, you aren't that good of a shot. Simple as that. Once you pass tatonka on the all-time rifle list, then I'll begin to believe you can pop a moving target in the head. Head-shots are overkill, so you're wasting your time and ammo.

Don't freak out that you missed your rifle shots. You aren't perfect, no one is. And don't post while mad.

Ok

headshots are not working on: Truck driver, tank commanders, boat crew,pilots,atg/aa crew

If this is not a FPS (first person shooter) then thats ok those things can be overlooked but when the base of the game is that of a FPS you think that when HEADSHOTS dont work on things they SHOULD work on ....well you seem to be fine with it

I expect better and so should you

I expect a fix to the BASE of the game, things that make the FPS aspect of the game have credibility a headshot should mean a headshot and it should mean death not ...Drive away like it never happend

This game if it wants to snag the FPS crowd in a crowed market of other FPS's you would expect the game makers to focus On things LIKE THIS that speak to the core of the game

Not ignore it

It isn't being ignored.

It just hasn't reached the same level of priority our small team needs to consider as you have set.

We have to consider all the other things we are currently tied up with doing and place other things at a "will get to it later" time frame ... if we had 60 people on the team that wouldn't be such a big deal. In terms of modeling we have 1 artist and 1 coder to throw at this specific aspect of the game, and they are currently enormously busy with other stuff.

Just want to clarify it isn't being ignored, and yes we understand it's a higher priority in your mind than it is in ours, or at least it seems that way. Personally I want to get all vehicle and gun crews redone to meet expectations such as you mention in your post, like yesterday ... but like you I too have to wait until the manpower resources currently tied up elsewhere are free to tackle that task.

It's on the list. It's a high priority but so are 17 other things. We might be the smallest team in the world managing and evolving an MMO on this scale, and that does unfortunately create a downside and that downside means not being able to address every issue as we would otherwise like to, and having to prioritize things that are mandatory to do immediately into "will do soon" ... we hate it at least as much as you do and probably more, since our success and ability to survive in the marketplace depends on this stuff.

Well thank you for your post

Im glad your not ignoring the problem and its good to see its on the list I just have not seen this mentioned in a while (and yes I did post in anger) so I deceided to post about it

I think the server seems to run very well (compared to other games Ive played) I know you probably work very hard on making it so. The thing that scares me the most are the people that try this game and these things happen and instead of getting a nice response from you sometimes instead we get a learn to aim when no amount of aiming fixes this

Like I said I did post in anger (more out of frustration) @ these things that seem like a sure shot not being so

I do hope you fix them (and understand your team is small but active fixing stuffs) as I think it will really make this game retain the subscribers that do try the game. Im very happy that you are intending to make room for the issue and if its 17th on the list to be fixed so be it as long as its on the radar that is all im really concerened about.

Thank You :)

I'd add to DOC's post that most of these crew damage models are really simple. Often times the whole head is treated as a helmet since that is mostly what is visible. We add this because we want the crews to be slightly hard to kill.

In some instances they might represent several crew members, in all instances they have no ability to hide behind things or build up revetments or fire back at infantry.

Crew harder to kill then infantry? Probably in some cases, but they have it pretty hard too in many cases.
