Avatar crouching up and down like yo-yo.

My avatar seems to crouch up and down when I'm standing and have the scope up, and then move forward or sideways. He sways up and down... pretty annoying.

When I'm already in crouch (i.e. not standing up), the sway is not there and he moves like I expect.

Basically, while standing and aiming, I can't move forward or sideways without a lot of bouncing, this is not like behavior from previous version as I recall.

Hmm, how is one supposed to shoot then while walking forward?

If I raise my rifle and slowly walk forward, I wouldn't be bouncing around irl.

This seems very strange, where did this feature come from, I don't think it represents reality.

I'll play with it some more, but it is very annoying, I can't aim while moving in a CP or anywhere else as far as that goes.

Makes it really really hard to look over the railing while defending a CP and side stepping.

pretty damn annoying yes.. trying to shoot over wall or window and just change pos and then u lose sight

Similar function to Arma etc...I would say its more realistic...annoying but realistic...

Don't fall into the trap of thinking that more realistic always means better gameplay, because that's very often not the case ;)

How could you like it? Looking over railing, out window or over wall and move and lose visual contact? Don't know about you, but when I'm guarding / on recon I try and keep a watch, not keep looking away every time I shift my body a bit. And, not only lose visual, once you can't see em, you can't shoot em.

Played again last night, sheesh, what a pain trying to look out a window to shoot then move a skosh over to the left or right... ack, you bounce all over the place and can't see the enemy much less shoot. Still very annoying and not very realistic in my mind. I can move a bit to the left or right irl while aiming w/o bobbing up and down like a cork on a wave.

I am actually starting to like this feature, its pretty much standard on other fps games that claim to be more of a sim. I think its a step in the right direction. Could probably do with a tweak though...

Are you kidding me? Do you ever guard? Try shifting positions while aiming at a running enemy infantry. Can't count the times I'm looking out a window or over obstacle and scoot a bit to the side, boing, I'm bouncing up and down, it almost makes me seasick. (and I was raised on ocean, so hard to do)

I've found quite a few windows now in various building types where if you stand next to them you just bounce up and down indefinitely like you are on a trampoline.

Yeah, we had this problem before, while in kneel or crouch mode, and also when you s=actually went from non-aimed to aimed with rifle, you'd do a bob, and suddenly couldn't see what was there.

The current version of bobbing is not realistic.

When you have your rifle up and you move, your body/head/eyes make compensatory movements to stay as aimed as possible.

You can't move fast, but you stay aimed, within reason.

You certainly don't bob up and down and lose your entire downrange view.

Needs to be massively adjusted for the sake of gameplay.

Adjusted this for 1.33.1 beta (coming soon). I don't like the toned down move but I'll ask for your input when it goes live.

I think it makes the game too... I dunno. Simple. Moving and aiming a rifle is hard but then an smg IS easier so.

ANyway, tell me what you think when it goes into beta.

No feedback?

Guess this wasn't a really big deal after all. I'll leave this open since I want to roll this change back out before release if I can.

I like it better as it is in the current beta, but I dislike the general idea of the character ducking if he moves sideways.

Making it difficult to aim while moving is ok, but I like the "rifle sight goes out of alignment" effect better for that purpose.

My person should not be ducking unless I instruct him to duck, also, should not stand up while crouching and trying to move. If I wanted to duck, I will kneel or go prone. If I want to stand and run, I will stand and run.

Please remove features that make my avatar go into positions that I don't decide. (unless of course I'm blown across the ground!)

So, in summary, I shouldn't be bopping up and down when I move sideways. And, I should not stand up when I'm in crouch mode and start to move faster.

Let me decide when to duck or stand.

It does seem better, but still can't guard in CP and look over railing while aiming too shoot. How about go back to the way it was?

Crouched is back to, gun on rails scenario, gun should not be on rails, gun should move abouot when you move, alas the way it is represented is by head movement, which isnt quite correct, but the idea is there!

Oh, and back to the way it was before means back when there was none of this bobbing action or standing more up from crouch mode.
