M5 flipping

The M5 atg still flips often for no reason.

Needs a fix. happens probably 50% of the m5 drives, making this an urgent ticket.

It used to be much worse. We are still trying to identify why it isn't as well behaved as the others. Every now and then we latch onto a change that gives some small improvement. It can take a week or more just to get such a minor improvement, and often after a week or more we find no improvement at all.

We're still working on it whenever we get time. Even if you hear nothing about it at all it's still being worked on, just not all the time, as the person responsible has loads of other responsibilities to maintain here.

Matter of fact a small change was made for internal testing just today. Don't know how it will pan out until testing is completed however.

I understand the urgency you attach to this. Unfortunately there are probably 17 other things of even greater urgency. So it will take whatever it takes.

PS: if you slow down over bumps and around corners instead of maxing it out full throttle everywhere, it is far less likely to flip on you. It does not flip "for no reason" there is ALWAYS a reason. I pretty much never flip them when I tow them, but I drive according to experience, and experience tells me "don't take liberties with towing the M5" and I follow that advice, and have few problems as a result.

PPS: we still seek improvement in it so don't assume the opposite

Thanks for that doc, good to know you guys are working on it. Just today I flipped that sucker twice, very very annoying lol but definitely noted your advice. Thanks again hope someone can nail that bug once and for all sometime soon.
