Games freezes on mission screen

Since the last patch the game sometimes freezes at the mission screen, apparently as a result of the old enter button grayout bug. Mission results pending may also lead to this.

In 1.33 I also got these bugs (mission results pending and grayout of enter button) but they didn't result in the game freezing.

Here is my most recent WW2.log after an instance where the graying out led to the game freezing:

Bump.

I get this regularly now. Every time mission results pending or the enter-button grayout bug occurs the game crashes.

Nothing on your end specific I can see. Oliver is looking at these.

Is there something that you are doing at despawn each time in particular?

Does it happen EVERY time?

It doesn't happen every time I despawn, but every time I get the results pending or enter world-grayout bug the game crashes, which didn't happen in 1.33. The game doesn't crash immediately after I get back to the mission screen, it takes 5-10 seconds.

I don't think there is anything particular I do during despawning, but I'll look whether despawning in different circumstances could have an effect.

The problem seems to be related in some way to the length of the sessions or the number of missions I spawn into. It could be that I create more missions than other people (i.e. checking on different CPs in a town that doesn't have enough defenders) and that this is why noone else seems to have this problem.

Lately I also get CTDs while despawning, not sure if this is part of the same issue though.

Thanks for looking into this.

1.34 is so radically different host wise I'm betting this will go away. In the mean time I'm not sure what to look at.

  • 2 weeks later...

Whatever you did with the last patch seems to have fixed the problems already. I didn't get any MrP. bugs since then and the enter-button grayout doesn't lead to a crash anymore.
