When in a laffy I cannot hear anything else even when my engine is turned off. Its kinda funny for an open roofed vehicle dont you think.

Was in Givet tonight waiting (engine off) for ATG's to hook on when another laffy drove past which I couldnt hear.

Have had it on other occassions as well and it might even be a feature.

I use onboard sound (realtek?) that's with my gigabyte mb and two speakers. Obviously I should have a 5.1 or 7.1 setup but it's just a pc not a home theatre. What soundcards do you guys have in the office? My sound is totally different since the new patch in that I can hear trucks and tanks miles away but don't always hear footsteps in the cp.

The bionic ears fix has screwed up sound for MANY people. For me, its a gamebreaker and won't be renewing my sub which expires soon.

Jumped in the game today to take a look and see if its still there. I could hear the tanks but all sounds have same amplitude and no directional sound Cannot play like this unfortunately.

Please please CRS undo the "fix" and save the game for soo many of us who are ready to pay you once a month EVERY month to play this game!

I fixed my sound issues.

I left my WWIIol audio setting on "primary sound device" and DID NOT pick my specific audio card.

I also updated my audio card driver and ensured my audio card was properly setup itself (I have a 7.1 audio card so it has to be set for 7.1 audio when I launch WWIIol under the "primary sound device" setting).

When you leave it to primary Xaudio will automatically pick what your system has selected as the default audio device.

Xaudio is basically Windows API for game sound. Instances where it doesn't work are generally driver or set up related.
