Time/Day Night Bug

Just about every time I log in I get a few good missions in. After a while though, the game starts transitioning from day to night, often rapidly. This has the effect of turing the game world into one big strobe light. After a few days of this happening I noticed that the time in-game was changing along with the day-night cycle. This leads me to believe that it is a time bug and that the game is perceiving it as the actual time in game, changing to the respective time of day or night.

I was wondering if this was a known issue, and whether or not there are any solutions for it. The only thing I've done is download the latest drivers for my video card (NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT), this had no effect.

It sounds like you have a AMD CPU, download the CPU optimiser from AMD, should fix it. I think this issue was stickied at some point...

Are you running an AMD Athalon (?) that is a few years old?

There is an update from them that fixes this issue.

I cant find the link at present but if you go to AMD you should be able to source it. Ask in the support forum here as well. This is an old well known fix.

This might be it:
