I still get this bug ALOT, 100% chance of getting this bug in big battles.

I have Windows XP 32bit and REALTEk HD AUDIO.

There also seems to be problems with volume of audio in allied planes they are too low , I even had a chance of hearing and seeing an 109 and a spit (I think) in a turning battle at the same distance from me and the volume of the allied plane was considerabily lower than the 109.

In the below picture the spit should be at least 200m despite the bad quality, the Audio I was getting from him was very very low.

spitnoaudioatthisrange.jpg

I have lost Audio from my AA with just the following units 1 Havoc , 4 AA(including my self) and 2 Tanks.

This situation happen defending a FB from EA I saw the havoc again volume was very low or nonexistence even with red tag, only when he was really close I began to hear him when I begin firing my AA I was losing audio from some of the rounds firing.

Please fix this Bug I'm not willing to subscribe with this bug ( was not happening before 1.33).

I noted that, there's no more maximum sounds in setting anymore

is there any way to change the sound channels value?

Missing sounds in firefight is really a atmosphere killer :(

64 or 128 channels back in the days was really awesome!

Windows 7 x64 pro / Realtek High Definition Audio (Gigabyte Motherboard onboard)

No. Xaudio is supposed to handle that but I don;t think it works well for all. I have this ticketed.

Another round of changes came through today for this that should affect max sound issues as well as making sure you hear your sounds (ordering).

I'm headed to a factory town to test it out. BRB...

Test 1

  • 1.34.0.19 beta server
  • spawn P1 as German SMG at Dusseldorf Factory 4
  • spawn P2 as British fighter plane
  • P2 (invulnerable) hover over factory 4
  • several 20mm, 40mm, and 88mm guns firing at once
  • fire infantry weapon several dozen times

Observations:

  • I did not hear any cut outs of AA AI or my rifle
  • every shot fired was heard

Test 2

  • repeat 1.33 Training server

Observations

  • infantry weapon cuts off 2 of every 3 bursts
  • AA AI is also cutting out

So I'm going to go ahead and call this fixed until I get reports from you guys in open test.

Sounds good.

Ok I found another way to quickly replicate this, offline practice spawn 30+ infantry clones running then fire you rifle and the rifle audio will disappear seems all infantry footsteps are replacing your rifle audio.

If on 1.34 you get no rifle audio breaks and in 1.33 due to this you get rifle audio cut-offs it should be fixed.

Don't forget surround sound speakers that have have a headphone jack built into the speakers themselves and if you use a headset without surround support gives you a magnificent engine mute bug.

It's interesting that on Brother in arms if I turn Xaudio+3DAudio I get the same hearing loss I get here but with 3D Audio only it works fine.

How long till this is released for me to test?

Just got killed yet again cos I can hear anything. 232 snuck up on me and was a few feet behind me in my death cam. In a Stu in a field commander open and nothing but my own sounds.
