Vehicles exploding after motor dies

I noticed since I've come back to the game that things are a LOT more likely to explode from damage. (I think since 1.30)

Before then, tanks could burn for hours without exploding. Now, they explode shortly after flaming up. Weird, not sure if intentional, but irrelevant.

What I also noticed was after a vehicles engine is knocked out, its only a matter of time until the unit explodes. Wtf? That's not right.

Replicate: Destroy a vehicle's engine. (Plane, tank, whichever so that heavy white smoke is present) Now play the waiting game. It can happen after a few seconds or minutes to a dozen or so, but it will happen. Why?

Well they have changed it to have vehicles explode after it has a kill credit on engine or something.

So if your engine is dead and you touch the escape button then the tank explodes.

I don't know about the thing you talk though, if thats intentional too.

Oh interesting' date=' why was that put in? I think that's been the case the whole time[/quote']

It was relatively recent change, to help prevent tanks despawning and just blinking out of view, now they explode, leaving a hulk, purely for immersion reasons basically.

Pretty much the reverse of "That guy despawned before I got to kill him!!!" whine which is usually totally incorrect. Now we just show you that you or someone probably got a kill on that guy and we blow them up.
