Killed by unknown is so stupid especially when they barely scratched you with a couple rounds, you go on to fly for another few minutes and do something stupid like ram and kill yourself, yet they still get a kill on you.

Killed my "killer" at 13:07 and rammed myself at 13:11.

If a player's sortie has ended there should be no reason for them to still get a kill on you unless they caused critical damage.

it s because he did the most damage on you, and it simulate the way you could loose control and crash. If you find a better algorythm post it ^^

Pretty much. If a guy shoots you and he then crashes and never makes it home then the spies at your base are going to tell the enemy and somewhere some pencil pusher is going to award a kill to a pilot.

This is the closest way to simulate that we can think of.

But you shouldn't be worried about kills on you, you should be worried about kills awarded to you and the times you die.

Rereading this I see where you are coming from. However, kills are awarded posthumouly.

Still I want to revisit this after 1.34 goes into testing as scoring is likely to be much more real time.
