3jg2g in training while on reset...

Not sure if can be moved manually but it was about to come back from training when there was a server down issue... and still on training.

It should have back.

Here is show how the campaign restart affected the 3jg2g flag.

System never moved it back to map and stood 18 hours on training till was moved manually by itsbrad.

lol funny

whenever there was a server restart in the past and allied flags were in training (just got kicked) ... they all got reset and could be instantly be placed back on map after server was back online.

therefor it was useless to kick flags into training before server restarts... was even more sad when server "crashed" suddenly. all effort for nothing

Sorry bronco... I have seen ups and downs but didnt ever noticed any kind of better behaviour in favour of allies in this.

The thing is that a review of the timers and fallback information should be done, so LW and FJ flags dont lose them if there is a unplanned reset.

this is a known behaviour and certainly not the only aspect when it comes to maintenance resets. as i understand there is already a bug report as well a ticket concerning this situation.

#4962 is about brigades routing when we are closing down pockets.

Not sure what the bug report here is....

  • brigade was in training
  • brigade was about to be moved back on map (to its division)
  • server reset took place (crash or what?)
  • brigade did not auto return to its division when the timer was up

Is this correct?

that is affected by the same mechanism. the ticket number i got out of quoted thread.

The host cannot "remember" HC moves (where a brigade was) after a restart. We have to rewrite how things are done for this to be possible and it's on the immediate development list, we were talking about it just yesterday.

As things stand now, if the host is restarted, all that data gets zero'd out and we cannot prevent this if there is a restart. All we can do is try to avoid restarts that are unplanned, and generally this is something we are always trying to improve on. Our uptime is actually pretty good, considering we only bring them down once a week for regular maintenance, a lot of game servers come down every day.
