Enter World bug?

OK, I understand the side lock. And the spawn delay.

But, whats up with the hit the ENTER WORLD button,

then you get the info screen before the world shows up.

I have had the info screen go from 3 seconds to a whole minute,

before getting to play.

So, I have seen on same game time, sidelock of 40 secs.

Then get spawn delay of 30 seconds,

and the info screen for 1 minute. Really sucks. It's like an extra spawn delay.

What???????

I have noticed that if I reserve a vehicle, I usually get the hit enter twice bug. This happens about 90% of the time.

Not sure if that is the same as you get. Just saying what happens to me.

Not the same. The above (my present post) is after the ENTER WORLD is accepted, you sit at the tan info screen for a period of time. 3 to 60 seconds.

The one you refered to is when you get nothing by hitting the ENTER WORLD button, it repeats with nothing happening.

2 separate problems. The linked one appears to have been fixed. Well at least I have not seen it soo far.

But you always enter the world, right? Just after a delay? I think the delay is the game loading all the terrain for the area you are entering. Does the delay happen the first time you go to an area or also after you spawn out and reenter same area?

For me, the first time is generally somewhat slow (maybe 15 seconds guessing) but subsequent times are very fast, guessing less than 5 seconds.

I have seen re-entering take some time too. But the 1st time is usually the longest.

That's loading. There's either a lack of HD space, RAM, or there might be some HD issues. Try a defrag to start.

OK, defraged and optimized.

Mem only using 20% of 3G before game loaded.

HD only using 30% of 100G.

Will let you know after this weekend.

Same issue and have had it for a very long time. It seems to happen most often when you are over-pop. Hit enter, wait, button turns back to normal color, hit enter, wait, button turns back to normal color, rinse, repeat. Sometimes it happens within 2 presses sometimes 3, 4, or 5. I have seen this for a good year.

Rig is solid. Clean, up to date, defraged, etc. Running 8 gigs of ram, have 350mg's available yet on the HD (this is also something I noticed on my last computer with an entirely different setup so it appears to be something else.)

Windows 7 64 home prem.

AMD Phenom II X4 3ghz Black Edition

8 Gigs DDR2

ATI 9750

Soundblaster X-FI

Well initial testing, it seems a little faster in some cases.

Set up mission in a town all by myselft away from the battles.

Went in and is took about 30 seconds to get past the info screen.

In other places I tried where peeps were. Went in fast and went in slow.

I could not find a rime or reason, yet.

Still testing, will try the train server to see if anything diff.

Ok, after extensive testing in the training server. I can not find a common denominator.

Here are my results of making missions, in allied side only. Both army and navy. Which is what I do mostly.

Listed below is seconds to get in (length of time the info screen was visable). They were either truck or fmb.

Each was different town on map.

If I despawned and came back imediately, it took 2-4 secs at most.

OK. When you come back, everything for the terrain you are in is loaded. Thus it only takes 2-4 seconds.

Different times for different locations is that there is a different amount of things to load at each location (terrain).

So you're seeing slow loading. Bottom line, this is a speed bottleneck on the system.

Hope we can see some improvement in at least 1.34.

Unless I can increase the speed of your Front Side Bus then probably not.
