1、First of all, I don't know how to upload pictures;

2、We know the Germany's tank use the Zeiss Optical sight mirror ,This error is about the Germany's gun‘s mirror in the game,about the mil-foot system。

3、whe know ,in the mil-foot system ,the object which about One meter ,In a kilometers away,Half of the small triangular edge, So in the 500 metres,1 meters long object is just a small triangular edge ,or Half of a small triangular edge 。

4、we know Sherman tank about 3 meters wide ,so When the distance is 500 meters ,it’s about 6 mil-foot,just a small triangular add a big triangle ,but when I use the PANZER VI(tiger)in 500 meters Watching the Sherman tank ,I see Sherman tank only accounted for three-quarters a big triangle。

5、Who can tell me why ?Is the developer made a mistake of common sense?:confused:

Not sure I'm following. Brains a little dusty today.

Not sure I am following either and would refer the poster to http://www.75thguards.com/ww2online/downloads/Zheriz_Ziess_Sight_Guide.pdf which is kind of old, but basically accurate AFAIK. As a practical matter, all you really need to know about the Zeiss is that it represents 4m from one triangle top to the next at 1000m. The small triangles are 2m wide/tall and the large one 4m wide/tall at that range.

The sight picture in German tanks varies wildly as far as triangle scale goes, but I have never noticed any of them being wildly wrong.

I know The small triangles are 2m wide/tall and the large one 4m wide/tall at 1000m range, it's a Basic knowledge,but can you explanation why the M4A3 only about 3-mils at 500m,if the M4A3's width is 3m,at 500m, it should have 6-mils 。

Because I can not upload pictures,so I holp anbody can confirm it by himself。

For reference my picture is at 500m.

Sherm is 2.62m wide, so it should appear 5.2m wide at 500m. Screen shot looks to be a bit less than 4m at 500 to me GOPHUR, so he might have a point.

I'm not sure how significant this is, but it might be worth some investigation.

Thanks for your proof,but I think it's very Important,if it only 3.5m at 500 ,But, Actually it's should be more biger than it can be see now,can more larger about 50%,it's important for a gunner ,who can shooting more accurate In the long-range。

Every tank in game is modeled to small in game just look up the height of any tank in game and stand an inf next to it then compare.

I think the scale is 2 to 1 or 1.5 to 1

Was very surprised when I was standing next to Sherman at Munster tank Museum how tall that thing is. Same is true for the t38

Etiher that or the inf is modeled 3 meters tall

Cheers

Panzer 4G

shermanpz4goptic.jpg

Tiger

shermantigeroptic.jpg

And Tiger's commander

shermantigercmdroptic.jpg

What I see is a slight variance on the mil scale for these optics. I don't know how hard/easy it would be to fix. Likely a FOV input that needs to be changed, or is simply capped out by decimal places (very small change in FOV limit could cause these inconsistancies). Another fix would be re-doing the reticles...

OK, lets go, here are my data.

PzIVG gunsight vs Sherman M4A2 side without gun 592cm

100m = 61mils in game, 59mils calc

500m = 12,5mils in game, 11,8 calc

1000m = 6mils in game, 5,9 calc

1500m = 4mils in game, 3,95 calc

2000m = 3mils in game, 2.95 calc

2500m = 1,9mils in game, 2,36 calc (may by caused by Anti-Aliasing)

Used beta command

.follow

on 1.34.0.17

Where is problem ?

EDIT: Oh, I am using 592 cm, it is my historicaly accurate data :D
