I know this is OT, but Im just curious if anyone sees this problem..

I have it all the time and at this point its really killing this game for me..

When I either DIE or RTB, I hit ESC.. and if I hit cancel instead of OK, 1 out of 3 times, It will get stuck..

For example.. I hit esc, hit cancel on accident, and cannot do anything but chat from there on out.. the screen dims, and thats it.. I can chat still, but completely stuck other than chat..

I have to ctrl-alt-delete, quit game and load it up TWICE...

Any work around besides not being stupid and hitting cancel instead of ok?

Yup, download more ram. Preferably by clicking pop-ups on pr0n websites and downloading random stuff on limewire or kazaa.

Now that it isn't in OT, I'll give you a real answer.

This is the MrP bug. It will be gone in 1.34, gone by design, not jsut a bug patch, but a whole redesign.

Anyways, for now it has to do with the communication between the (many) game functions and your comp. When you click the despawn button twice it causes the bug. Don't click it the second time! Just wait it out, you'll despawn normally. If you do click the second time, you WILL get MrP and you WILL be forced to restart the program (twice for windows, once for mac, just how it is atm).

I played axis last night and feel dirty. Got accused of being a side switcher, blah, blah, blah.

Your problems are minimal. Apparently according to HL most OTer's are axis, should have done a screenie.

I actually moved this to a place where it will get read by people who actually WANT to help you rather than eat your babbies.

Here's a bug report:

I can't delete posts in this &^%%$#^@ forum software.

Ok.

OP:

I haven't seen this before posted. Are you sure it is every time you hit cancel?

Go hit cancel on purpose 5 times or so and report back.

I think I've posted similarly on this before as being a precursor to the Mission Results Pending (MRP) bug and in a few other places as well.

That makes sense. If you've lost connection to the host this will happen. Hitting cancel should not CAUSE this though.

It's happened to me several times but only at a point of CTD. If you've lost connection with host and then hit ESC and try to cancel it will freeze up. I'm not certain if this is what he's speaking of however I've encountered it a few times.

CTRL-ALT-DELETE when this happens, shut down ww2online which will show it's not responding and it will shut down after a few attempts. (as it will not work the first time)

There is known bug that when you respawn everything will be locked. I saw in 1.34 this is being addressed I think. So you need to resatart the game twice not just once, or maybe this is just for me.
