M1 peephole sight far too small, unable to lead

The m1 peephole sight-hole is too small, and the ring far too wide.

Its the4 same old issue we had 6+ years ago, before the old allied peephole sights were fixed.

Plz dont make the same mistake and introduce the m1 sight as it is- its extremely frustrating and virtually impossible to lead with.

Sights need to be the same hole-size as the french/brit current rifle and the ring around much much thinner, so it doesent obstruct the view.

The way the sights look is one issue to deal with but we have a serious issue of a floating / disapearing sight like the old MAS sights where it can actually drift down and disapear altogether if you hold the aim.

Well, I guess reload time and RoF and such can be discussed, but the sight is fundamental for the gun, and in its current form, it utterly ruins the weapon, regardless of its other properties.

Its at least as frustrating as the old allied peephoole sight, which were loathed by the players with good reason.

A showstopper error imho for the m1.

Definately.

Releasing it in this version would be very stupid.

I reported this also, on 2nd or 3rd page back now..

here's a picture I use as a reference. As I have said before, you should be able to see the entire front sight base and protector ears at a MINIMUM.

(pic is huge, don't want to %7Boption%7D it)

Yes, the main issue is the same as back in the old days, we cant use the ability we humans have naturally to look beyond the sight, which is possible when you have two eyes. On a flat screen that ability cant be used and a sight like the m1 will totally ruin the entire gun.

The current gun is imho bugged, I guess Doc forgot to inform the model team about the old issues with the allied peephole sights, which causaed so much frustration.

Yeah. We ticketed this three months ago but I wanted you guys to see the accurate model before we changed it so I didn't get all that "you guys don;t know how to model a gun sight herp derp!" that we'd get from some quarters.

Plus we wanted to have the correct one on file in case we get Depth of Field effects. See Firebugs pic.SShot23.jpg
