So...

First bad one was i was around corner from door, waiting for the guy to come in.

-he came in, knifed me, and i was falling before i ever saw him.

Ive had multiple cases of getting shot by someone around a corner well before they have appeared( only to see them as im falling)

plenty of times ive hit someone and they didnt drop till well after they were hit too.

judging by what ive seen, its no better then the current code, and possibly worse.

what have the rest of you noticed?

It comes and goes. Sometimes it's awesome, works perfect, much better than 1.33.

Other times it's horrible.. reminds me of playing on satelite internet. Resetting the game seems to help.

I've died a good 5-10 seconds after I rounded a corner through a building.

infantry often warp 5-10m at a time.

I'm getting horrible pings. Normal game I get 110 - 140 max.

Here I've had 600 + and tonight it was better at around 300

when beta server opened the lag was non-existant the effect was amazing and it was obvious it wasworking the way it was meant to, this state of bliss however only lasted a few hoursi m not sure if something changed or just the sheer numberof people traffic that caused it to fail but it did and it has not been the same since those first few hours, now inf lag all over warp all over run in plae etc, whatever changed farked it all up it was definatly working in the begining.

First time this has been tested at all live with so many people. Not surprisingly needs tweakage.

*facepalm*

1) One of the cell hosts was set to 1970 so you know...

2) The server was running debug so that ain't helpin either...

I have a head ache.

I was on the Beta server Saturday night around 1100pm EDT... I noticed the new netcode was clicking along just fine. The system messages seemed to accurately reflect what was happening around me in real time. Not sure how many people were online at the time...

i had some fps drops, and some infantry warping. but i think that was because of what GOPHER mentioned.

the lag deaths however seem to be gone. no more someone rounding a corner and killing you before they render.

the removal of the lean function helps too. no more wtf deaths from a guy behind a wall.

As i said before i think this beta test was more usefull to the rats than it was for us to see the new netcode into work etc.

Beta always gives crap netcode.
