Able to replicate "stug engine bug" at will

From the monsjoex engine bug thread:

Bingo? Able to replicate at will: Fast pressing the engine start mapped button on my joypad AND fast pressing engine start mapped button on my keyboard at the same time. No restart of game needed.

Edit: Works for every vehicle.

Edit 2: Looks like only 2 presses of each button in fast sequence are needed.

I don't think that's the bug but maybe. I hope it isn't just people doing dumb things with the keymapper.

Managed to trigger it with secondary keymap mapped to "E" and primary keymap clear.

I had problems with trucks...just couldn't get them to work - till I figured I had conflicting key mapper instructions. It was almost like the engine bug...switch engine on...accelerate..truck lurches and stops....

E.g. could this be muddying the waters or is it the same "bug"?

Gophur its not the cause of the engine bug, but it has the same effects.

Maby it can now be examined what the system is actually doing while it is having this engine bug?
