ATGS [need work]

I dont think this is a bug, just poorly made. The tier 1 atgs are a joke. I see paks and m1s alike getting slaughterd with rounds in the front and sides, just to turn around and kill that panzer or tank. With the very limited supply of tanks which ruins the game itself, its a shame to waste what little supply you have on such realstic poor design. There is no reason only the persons should have a damage model on it. The whole gun, including the shield should be part of the damage model. Today is the first day of the campaign that these atgs came out, and here are the follwing sorties:

Killed by pak 38, after i fired a STU HE round into the pak side of the pak, direct hit into the people, he turned around, i fired a ap into the middle of the gun, he shoots, dead.... no kill

Killed by pak 38, shot first and suprised him, missed first time, second time landed direct ap round into gunner, fired again, landed a direct hit into his commander, he fires, kills me, i actually got the kill credit on this one

Same story, hit ATG a couple times, with AP, no damage, hit both sides, where commander and gunner sit behind, and he kills me, no kill

This has been complained about forever... could we focus on gameplay issues like this, rather than cutting supply, and driving what little of a player base is left away.... My god, the whole mobile, silent atg crew just pushes thru bushes like it was nothing, you would think they would get tired after a bit right? Battlefield and COD both come out in several months, this games future is bleak if we cant fix the realism issues.

I do agree with you ATGs need to be "repaired" or simply redone again looking back think I would rather have a more realistic atg's than the 1.33 infantry remodel.

I see no need for an atg crew to have a damage model why not make just like infantry, if the projectile is moving at X speed and you get hit on chest or head you die , you get hit 2 times on arms and legs you also die.

About the bush stuff lol yeah that is so unrealistic I remember playing 2000 games that feature your ability for your tank to smash/affect trees or bushes when you passed over them. (CRS talked about ATG's placing PPO's, having an ability to camouflage your gun would end the need to have bushs that are not affect to your tank/gun/unit)

I really don't think Battlefield and COD will affect this game but Red Orchestra 2 and Planetside 2 Will but none frontally assault this game one is a hyper realistic ww2 game but reduced to small battles of no more than 64 players the other is a futuristic fiction game but it's an MMOFPS but together I think they touch on most of the players :(

But I do have fate on the devteam with each update they seem to be increasing the amount of content they affect ingame nailing stuff that has been keeping this game from moving forward for years, they also are aware of the pain that atgs are ingame has they said on ratchat I believe that the features that would affect more positively this game would be a new atg system that any infantry could use & leave it and a real and improved keyboard system for Air/navy/ground vehicles.

I don't want anyone to feel we don't read this sort of stuff, and the ATG's and AA'g are slated to receive an overhaul, but since it isn't actually related to a bug report I'm closing this. We already have all the issues here noted for future work.
