FF Injuring friendlies

I was positioned behind attacking Et's last night, and after killing one, found myself drawing fire from friendlies, one round stuck the mantel and wounded the #1 position-i called for cease fire and was instantly berated by "Camel" because "This Can't Happen", when it was Clearly Friendly fire that caused it-Blast damage or no, it came from an ATG right by our base. the discussion turned ugly, and he continued mouthing until suddenly I get disconnected-Wonder how THAT happened? (MODS maybe?) he threatened Me so I got booted? WTF is up with THAT?

Anyway, i've seen this happen in other games as well-Blast damage injuring friendlies where the round itself does no damage but enemy will do all possible damage-so i need someone to look at this possibility instead of instantly denying and berating anyone suggesting it. Denial is the wrong way to fix anything, and camel needs some manners as well.

There is no friendly fire. Closest you can get other than killing yourself with a nade or satchel is a friendly blowing a building you are in. That will kill all inf in that building reguardless of side. But you can not FF another same side player otherwise.

no friendly fire ... until you are in a building that get blown up

or you can kill your crew self if you shoot a tree in front of your 88 with HE for example

In the past I could swear I killed a friendly tank too, he was safe behind ab wall and no enemies were around I was bofors and for the fun of it I decided to shoot at him continuously to my surprise it blew up after a couple of shots.

I advice to check combat stats and see what it says who killed you I didn't do that went it happen to me.

But a smart enemy could wait for enemy players to shoot each other and then shoot one round killing you while avoiding being detected.

Either way, addressing the lack of manners is important as well. Just because someone isn't right in front of one of us, it's still something that we should do for the benefit of all, instead of playing smartmouth.

Dude, you were going off like a frog in a sock on various channels about FF killing you and who was it anyway.

You were told, nicely that what you claimed was not true and why... and you decided to take it personally and play the 'internet tough guy'. Which then got you laughed at... [not berated]

Manners goes both ways.

You were even told who, and what killed you [i bothered to look up CSR scoring for you].

That's not being a 'smartmouth'. That is called 'education'... and more importantly, preventing new players from buying into 'statements of fact' that are false. Which happens far too often.

FF is not possible' date=' the code is not in the executable.[/quote']

Years ago I got run over by a Matty as a flak gunner (25mm) and died right when he ran me over. It was a squad mate, Yikes33, and I was shooting him to be annoying, he turned to RTB and went straight to me as I was shooting him, he ran me over and my gun crew all died. We all laughed about how he killed me. Another time we were all flak gunners being towed to a af that was under attack. We were being towed and a stuka took off and we all unhooked at the same time so some of us were clipped into each other. We started shooting at the stuka and right then my gunner died while my screen was shaking as they were shooting at the plane.

It IS being a smartmouth, and no "Internet Tough Kamel" is going to try to claim otherwise. I take the position that if you wouldn't say things in person, you shouldn't say it online because it's a reminder to maintain manners regardless of the stress. By your reply you insist that you Are the "internet tough guy" who has no responsibility to maintain manners and will say whatever you want regardless of how much it insults people.

I'd suggest having CRS add a way to block people similar to blocking e-mails if that would help, but you'd just find a way to open your attitude in some other fashion. Internet bullies like you aren't worth time and effort. Besides, i truly doubt you'd have manners even if you were in tent city here in county lockup-until it was taught, anyway.

Firstly, Guess what? If I meet someone being loudly ignorant in public... I tell them so. In person. Perk of my job. ;-) and no, I'm not a mod. But it wouldn't surprise me if your ranting and so on in game had actually attracted one. However, they usually warn people before taking action. I suspect your disconnection was co-incidence.

Secondly. You were told nicely. You refused to listen, instead continuing with your ranting and raving and snarky comments [towards those who told you so]. Why do you think people should maintain manners towards you when you are exibiting none towards them?

Thirdly. Your thin skin is not my [nor anyone else's] problem. If you want to feel insulted for being told you are wrong... better get used to being insulted. Because its going to happen a lot with your attitude.

Fourth. You are playing a game with international customers. Most of which have different standards of 'manners'. By my countries standards, I was showing rather a lot of tolerance.

Fifth. You were wrong. Loudly and obnoxiously wrong. The more you were told so the louder and more obnoxious you became... culminating in this thread, where you have been told so by everyone including game trainers, testers, and the actual game dev's that you are wrong... so you changed the forcus of your complaint to the 'bad manners' of the person who told you so in the first place. Maybe you should think about that?

Maybe its simply time to cut your losses, accept that you made a mistake, and learn from it in future. Before making wild accusations on chat... ASK FIRST?

Lastly, at the risk of seeming ill mannered for the crime of educating the ignorant... both game and forum have an ignore function. Please feel free to use it to ignore future good advice from those attempting to prevent you from looking like an arse on chat and in the forums. That said, there is a limit on how many people you can put on ignore... and I suspect that if you continue on your path of righteous indignation, that you will more likely end up on it yourself.

Ok, since there isn't a bug here and this is a bug reporting forum (and the back and forth is quickly leaving the ToS line in the the rearview), I'm gonna close this one.
