Beta Video Settings - 1900 x 1200 resolution disabled or bugged?

I am not getting 1900 x 1200 resolution in the 1.34 Beta, either offline or on the server. The settings allow me to select it but I am getting a much lower setting than I get in the live game. Is this intended for the beta or is it bugged?

You might try the 11.9 Drivers:

No problems here on my nvida gtx470.

Things to try first up date your video drivers.

2nd are your sure you monitor can do that resolution? alot of them can't.

If that don't help go to your my documents folder and find Battle ground europe test folder and rename it. Then try the game offline this reset ever thing to default and creates a new test folder, reset your video settings and see if that fixes the problem.

I had to delete my cfml folders to get my joystick to work right in this new beta.

some people are having problems with this though as the setup out side of the game is crashing.

Updated to Catalyst 11.9 drivers and as I suspected the problem persists both in online and offline mode - this has to be a bug with the 1.34 client as the game up to and including the current 1.33 version has always run at 1900 x 1200 perfectly on my machine. I am not certain what resolution I am getting in the Beta but it is certainly below the top resolution that I am getting in the live game currently.

Tried all of the above suggestions and no go on the fix.

IMO need to go ahead and put a ticket in on this one.

Edit to change should all read 1920 x 1200 - doh ;P

If settings is bugged, you can add in a resolution manually.

If the settings are not setting you may have a registry prob with the game setting app.

For now try this, go to my documents/battleground europe TEST.

Open the battleground europe folder.

Find the wwiiol.xml file.

Right click that file and select edit....This will open it in notepad

In the notepad file that opens select edit at upper left, select "find".

Type in the find box resolution. It will show you the line with the game res like so value name="app.resolution" type="string" value="800x600x32"

Edit the numbers to whatever your desktop res is and then save the file.

NOTE: The x32 at the end should always be x32 ... Unless you have a setup from 1863!

So, name="app.resolution" type="string" value="1900x1200x32"

You should make it the same as your desktop resolution, or - as far as I know - you will get worse performance or crashes.

OK so I opened the xml file in the TEST folder of documents and it had the resolution correctly at 1920 x 1200 (which is what I always run on my desktop).

Sooooooooo since the current 1.33 version works correctly I just copied and pasted the current live version of my xml file and it works!!!

Somehow the new settings program is not working correctly - I will have to do a line-by-line comparison of the xml files to see what the differences are that's causing this issue.

Some people have issues with settings.exe - Windows Support Forum never really got to the bottom of why some people do / some don't.

The bit I typed should work ... but yeah, if it doesn't, copy and paste LIVE game version xml to BETA will also work.

When in game, check PREFERENCES to see if anything needs adjusting (if RATs added anything new etc)
