1.34.0.34 - Panzerschreck round going wrong

1 Panzerschreck spawns in

1 allied tank spawns in

distance like 50m or higher

Allied tank looks at Panzerschreck crew

Panzerschreck aims for tank

Panzerschreck fires round

Allied tank sees the round hitting ground "behind" the Panzerschreck crew

happened all the time for me... never saw the Panzerschreck round hitting me or my tank. always the ground behind the Pshreck

I found the panzershreck round visuals fine, hitting armour etc. it did seem a little fast from click to target (like almost instantaneous out to about 50/75m)

what im talking about here is that when you are sitting in an allied tank and you have a Pshreck aiming for you ... you wont see the round hitting you. you will always see the round "falling" out of the Pshreck and blowing up "behind" the Pshreck crew. for the Pshreck guy himself it all looks fine

Definately not seeing that. I see big ole smoke trails following the round out of the tube. Nothing coming out the back.

I think he means like you see on the live server when a enemy Gun fires at you, you see the round land in front of you and never on your tank.

I'm seeing this also :( and it is exactly what he means on tiger beta US Anti tank shoots bazooka at me and I see the round explode on the ground behind him! it also leaves a explosion decal on the ground.

Colt pistol it's also bugged I see the flash of the pistol shooting at the feet of US soldier at 100-150m.

There's not enough detail here for recreation so I'll make some assumptions and provide the type of detail I'm looking for.

Test1

  • loc: Tour-Roub in the middle ground
  • p1 spawns bazooka
  • p2 spawns tiger
  • players meet in the middle
  • p1 is 50m fom p2
  • p2 watches p1 with commander unbuttoned (he is very small)
  • p1 aims bazooka at but not on tank and fires
  • p2 sees round...

In my case p2 sees the smoke trail of the round go off to his left high. I can even see the round in a couple of frames.

Test2

  • repeat test 1
  • p2 is driver using parascope
  • zoomed in

same result.

well first id start with the problem gun at hand...the panzershreck, not the bazooka.

It doesn't need any detail you only need to drive a tank and have a US bazooka fire at you hit or no hit (if it hits it will be hard to see what it happen).

Test1:

P1 Spawns US Bazooka

P2 Tiger

P1 Shoots at tiger frontally while on open ground.

P2 Looks through gunner periscope at US anti tank

P2 Sees Bazooka round explosion effect hit feet or behind US anti tank leaving a black explosion decal.

This is common to me -_-

Is CRS using the same explosion effect has the back blast?

Ramp found something that might account for this. Please retest 1.34.0.39.

I did some limited testing it seems no longer happens .

But is it suppose to leave a small puff of smoke on the ground behind the anti tank soldier when it shoots its very small visible at 300-500m through tiger periscope.
