Need Test - Walk inside a tank sitting on bridge

Happened to me yesterday too, was friendly tank, basically I was on the bridge and it drove right through me, it was like I was inside the tank for a moment as it passed by.

was this related to a disconnect for the player in the tank?

I can totally see this happening if there is a connection issue like we have been having in beta recently.

Don't expect that to be happening much longer, Oliver is doing a great job at getting the new host squared away.

In my case it was a friendly tank. A tiger.

I walked up from behind the tank and right inside.

The tank didn't disconnect, nor did I.

I walked back out and tried from other directions but was unable to reproduce the event. Also tried walking towards it from the back again and this time nothing happened.

I was able to lay on the ground and shoot under the tank and see my rounds hit the dirt where I aimed. Not saying that is a bug, just the first time I ever tried it. Really nice if that's how it's supposed to work.

I was doing this because I was able to climb on top of a friendly tiger a few minutes earlier. I was trying to reproduce that when I walked right inside the other one. When I was on top of the other tiger, I remained pointed in a fixed direction while the turret was turning. Again, not claiming bug, just things I tried in beta.

Last thing I fooled with was driving a tiger onto the boat dock. Worked fine.

I'll be more careful and specific if I report anything else.

For 30 seconds or so after spawning one can clip through friendly units in order to prevent issues with people sticking to each other when spawning.

I forgot to report this one also. It may be related.

Same evening, same place, same bridge.

I spawned a tiger, started over the bridge, someone had a tiger sitting on the bridge in front of me. I pulled up behind and put it in first gear. Took forever but I was finally able to grind my way around the other tank. Pretty normal.

I spawned another tiger a few minutes later. Similar situation on the bridge except the friendly tank occupying the bridge was further past the middle point. This time I went full speed starting further back from the bridge to gain momentum. I hit the back of the other tank and instead of flipping or bouncing I went straight through it and headed on down the road.

Makes me wonder if speed has anything to do with the effect.

it has in the past kinda picked me up and i kinda went right over the top of it as it goes by...i thought thats what was normal.

Was with the recent changes to inf collider. Yeah thanks for reminding me. For the first 8 years or so just drove through them.
