unfair advantage with tree cover

ei is using a downed tree for cover...my rounds bounce off the imaginary boundary around this object and can't kill him....he can fire (in my point of view) behind the tree with his rifle sticking through it. My round can't kill his head sticking up but he can shoot no problem and kill me. So terrain object fail?

Its not the persons fault...tree's have a imaginary boundary around them, standing ones too.

I think you mean you hit instead of bounce , This works for both players it's like there is an invisible shield around the tree.

I found myself a handful of times lining very accurately my iron sights to hit an enemy infantry but when I shot I hit the invisible tree instead and had to expose myself to do the shot again while already having alerted the enemy.

I believe the colliders are somewhat not respecting the borders of the model tree.

It's with almost all trees gophur- I think the hit box is square and not round so from some sides you cannot shoot up to let's say a foot from the tree. I can test it when I'll be near my desktop.

man I don't remember, but i've always had problems with rounds bouncing near trees standing or fallen. And I don't mean the tree itself, but a invisible barrier around it a tad. Like the tree is larger than visible.

I've been saved by it..I've been killed by it.

Just went practice offline and found right away a trees with large and short collisions(wasn't expecting the short but that might explain why sometimes I was killed behind a tree with no other part of the body exposed)

There are more but didn't post bother to post all of them, some trees do work fine thought :P

I know for sure deep forest have trees with large collisions that the actual tree models.
