If you are having issues with controllers please post the detail here.

Be very specific. Include a replication method and full hardware details.

Also we need to know if renamin your cfml folder fixes the issues.

Windows 7 64 Bit

AMD Phenom II 955

Joystick: Thrusmaster T.16000M

Pedals: CH Pro

Following is done with both unplugged

1. Delete global.calib

2. Start offline mode, spawned 109 F4

3. Open Controllers Tab. Select a JS axis

4. Adjust green bar on left a smidge for a little bit of dead band.

5. Open and close map via M.

SShot90.png

6. Each time Step 5 is repeated, left hand deadband bar moves further in, and the red dot moves predictably but strangely.

This is not always triggered by opening the settings, but it will make it happen predictably.

In addition to the visible settings changing by themselves, the controller inputs that the Curve/deadband are interpreted incorrectly for what the game displays.

For instance at this point

SShot91.png

What you get in this image is still being able to roll left, but input is completely unresponsive when rolling right.

Further down the line

SShot92.png

Rolling left will still roll left, but rolling right will ALSO make a plane roll left.

The left hand green bar has always been a "ignore this much deviation from center" setting, which is mandatory for reducing any jitter around your neutral position. The right hand bar has always been a "treat less than full input as full at this point" setting. Lots of pilots use it on their throttle axis.

Additional Note, Setting ANY other (no matter which joystick) axis to any custom setting will overwrite the old settings to correct defaults, and the newly changed axis will misbehave as posted above.

I am not a tech guy so I can only post general stuff

I have a saiteck x45

I have the JS set up for turret movement and flying. I cannot now turn to the right with the turret of a tank and/or airplane.

I would feel uncomfortable working with this stuff. As i stated i am not a computer person. I guess at end of the day if the problem is not fixed at release I will just have to quit.

odd problem to have after playing this game for 11 years and now have a js bug

Other than JS make I get exactly the same problem as report by OP except after opening the controller window twice and my x axis is now full dead band to the right I can't turn either way. The y axis remains open but any changes to the sensitivity or dead band revert to no dead band and a straight line sensitivity setting.

JS is a Saitek AV8R-01

Windows XP SP1

Asus M3A78-CM

ATI Radeon 4800

Yes. Yesterday.

did not fix it for me though. turret and plane still turn left but not to the right.

I have an saiteck x45. I use my old files from when the game first started so I can use flaps. Would that make a difference?

I just re load game? I would be upset if I could not use my flap settings or x45 anymore.

ok so my x band looks like the 4th picture where the green line and red dot is on the far right side. I moved the line to the left a bit and now I can move my turret to the right. Can you post a picture of what the x band should look like? I am not sure what I am really doing. Also seems a bit choppy.

Try deleting the global.calib file, then doing a new calibration, and restarting game.

This patch (1.34.2) fixed the joystick anomaly for me. My joystick curve/deadband were

like dkamerad's graphs; now they are normal.

Mac OS 10.6.8

Saitek AV8R-01
