Combat smoke....

After taking a hit in fps on my i7 rig...I thought I would move to the den and check out the ole reliable i3(3.3gig) rig with a gts250 and ony 4 gig of ram.

After joining the willmstead battle i had a frame rate of around 20...deciding to mess with a few settings turning them on and back off trying to take notice of any drastic change in FPS.

What I found was that by turning of combat smoke my fps doubles and didnt drop back below 35....moved to dinant and the same fps held. Turned combat smoke back on..and right back down to 18/19 choppy fps.

Leaving the combat smoke off game runs like a champ...go figure...just thought I would bring it up...but there is a very noticable difference. Also I was able to move my inf LOD slider back up to about 75%.

Just an fyi.....
